Rumor: A new Hero has arrived!

Men and women gather at the Exigo expedition camp and whisper in hushed tones as they watch Hano, Kathryn, Oslcow, Sol, Leckith, Lauan, and Cirion all limp by slowly. Their clothing is tattered, their hair is sticky with blood, and each of them is sporting a multitude of bruises.

Asking through the crowd you hear a story of how the "Would Be Heroes" busted into a crypt noisily and were taken down one by one by a Death Knight who was animating the dead.

Another rumor tells of another member of the party, that no one noticed amongst all the full sized warriors. A tiny Hin, going by the name of Loon.
The rumor goes that Loon alone fought down the Death Knight and defeated the undead hordes to rescue the fallen friends.

More then a few Exigo Sentinels get a good laugh when hearing this rumor.

[Kunoichi]

Snorts as she walks by the sentinels, in full disguise. "If it had not been for my arcane ability," she thought, "the creature would have ripped that goofy, perverse little miscreant into a thousand little pieces." Her pace quickens as she gleams through her full-helm with repressed irritation. Her gaze narrows on two sentinels exchanging the story at a distance, "I will have his hands," she notes mentally, nodding her head at her suitable punishment, "should he insult me again."

Kathryn was seen confirming the story to a city guard, when she was on her way to bath away the blood and have her clothing repaired at the city baths.

"Ten feet tall the monstrousity was, made from the bones of giants and wyrms! A legion of undead were at his command, which he set upon us without delay. On more even terms even this black knight and his legion would have fallen to our many blades, but he had us cornered... boxed in to a tight area and surrounded. To his dark blade, we fell. Our wounds were not fatal but were more than debilitating enough to remove us from the fight one by one."

"It was then he appeared. No more than up to the knee of the great undead beast, a mighty hin stood fearlessly regardless and with a single shot of his crossbow had struck the being right between the eyes and brought him down with a dark haunting chill that tore into ones ears."

"The legions under the undead beast's command collapsed into several piles without the aid of their undead master's power."

"The hin who saved the day was named... Loon. And with that single shot, the first chapter of a tale of a new hero had begun."

[Cirion]

*Cirion Reliun sits at a campfire telling the story to Harg Pentec and Caleon Thent*

Cirion:*smiles* Did you two when several others and I recently went to the Hills?

Harg: I've not heard of the venture to the hills...

Cir: Anyway, I was leaving the Hills, after I was done talking to Emaku, and on my way back to the expedition camp, when I bumped to Sol and Leckith... and then I was wondering: "Why are these two people here?"

Harg: Did the beast amass?

Cir: Hold on, I'll get to it...

Caleon: *laughed and moved closer to the fire*

Harg: *sighed heavily, for the quick and short stories were more to his liking*

Cir: ...Then I was about to ask, when suddenly Lauan, Hano, and Osclow arrived. I was, even more so, wondering what would bring all of these people here... and then Hano told me Katie has been missing. So we quickly, and easily, fought our way across the Hills, into the caves, and finally reached the deeper portion of the caves. While we were walking, Lauan tripped over a trap and the nearby "hidden" door opened. We found Katie and hear her say "Oh Shit," suddenly another door opens and we see several skeletons come pouring out...

Cal: *laughs and winks at Harg* Gotta let him build it up. *then looks back to Cirion*

Cir: ...Apparently Lauan had triggered more than just a simple trap but had triggered several more skeletons to rise up and attack us... and a big guy, a... "Death Knight" as they are called.
...In a few seconds, a spell was cast at us and I believe Katie went down in a few seconds. I run to the front and to fight several skeletons and destroyed many, before the Death Knight arrived. Lauan ran to the front and swung her sword at him, hurting him some, but her injuries were mounting quickly.

Harg: *says this while Cirion is still telling the story*Impressive, if it can injure the woman Lauan... Pyras' bodyguard appears quite capable *then starts to grumble something*

Cir: Osclow took her position but was soon taken down, then the knight took Lauan down too...Soon, the guy started to swing his sword at me. That thing hurt like a bitch... and believe me, I've met a few in my life *said as a joke, rather than to point fingers at anyone*

Cal: *leans back and smiles happily* Don't doubt it, never is a shortage of 'em

Harg: *grins slightly, barely visible from his beard*

Cir: ...Then the next thing I see is his blade ripping through my armor, like a hot knife through butter... and he did this several times too...
...Next I remember losing consciousness and being helped by a small Hin, Loon was his name. Apparently he tended to us and fixed our wounds... I don't know how, but he is the reason I'm even alive... reason why we're all alive...
...And we didn't listen to him, at first, ran right past him while we were on our way to save Katie. The Hin... is a Hero *is interrupted*

Harg: Odd timing... and what of the knight?

Cir:Oh, the knight? I'm not truly sure what happened during the end of the battle, but...*nods* I believe it was killed off... I was mostly saying my thanks to Loon, rather than checking for the body...

*Then the conversation continues on, with Cirion telling how Loon is one of the greatest heroes*
