Rumors, primarily among moon elves and students, claim that the now-infamous Artifact is somehow tied to Selune. The dark powers that are exhibited by the cube are said to somehow be countering Selune's powers.

Hearing of these rumors, Yashia remembers the vague outlines of a story that was once told to her by a wizard by the campfire at the Exigo Trading Post. Of the eternal strife between the two twin goddesses of night, one of illumination and the other of complete darkness. Selune, and...

"Shar." she said out loud to herself, a frown forming upon her face. Not much was known about the goddess or her followers, but they were definite enemies of light and right. If the avatar was hers, the Talonans could have plans for the cube themselves...

Hano keeps hearing the rumors and, in particular, the rumors about Selune. Like he is often seen doing, he begins to rub his forehead, massaging it with the fingertips of his gauntlets and thinking to himself. [i]"Do you know how many different Gods people have suggested it could be? Seriously, I've heard people even suggest it was Torm! In the end; it doesn't matter. What we do know is that the God... Is angry. Where as it is very unwise to destroy it... It is too big of a risk to release it in any populated area. Best bet, no matter what God, is to let it release itself far, far away from here."

The Tormite raises his head and sighs. Looking around he mutters to himself, "Middle of a desert, bottom of the ocean, something like that.. No matter what God, his immediate wrath can be spared." He continues down the road, clutching his left gauntlet with his right. "Now.. To find this Dragon."

Jamyse hears the rumour and simple closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose, another monster headache building "Bloody damned fools.. the whole lot. If ye asked em to build a bridge the first thing they'd do is put the thing together before seein' how far across the river is.. " He recognizes that something has changed in him since the night of the attack outside the Triumvirate, something that was quietly optimistic and found humor in even the worst circumstances died that night, he moves off to make his own plans.
