  • Warning Given to Travellers

    (Posted in DM capacity)
As you pass thru the outpost at the edge of the Viridale, Its quite easy to hear talk of the recent events.
"Fire in the sky I swear!"
"The forest was ablaze and rocks fell from the sky!"
"Every one that came running out of the forest was screaming about angels and devils!"
"I saw a the strangest thing, this red guy and this white guy were being chased by something that resembled a mongrel dragon!"

ooc:Please add anything you can think of about that event.....

Jos'iah was sitting around the campfire as adventurers iterated the recent events in the Viridale. At some point, he looks up from the campfire and speaks.

    I was there.

He continues to move the wood in the fire.

I was traveling with a large host of adventurers to include men of renown such as Hano and Snow Hawk. We were returning from an expedition battling an amassing orc horde when a large demon... a Balor then appeared who seemed to know Snow Hawk well. Snow Hawk knew him as well but I did not know enough about Snow Hawk to understand the conversation between them. Hano and the rest of us were at the ready to battle alongside Snow Hawk but he had us stay our weapons.

Then, an angelic swooped from the sky and began to battle the demon. Chaos ensued. Meteor swarms from the sky fell. The earth shook. Fire blazed. And comrades fell. I would have fallen as well if it wasn't for Maxillian Gold's healing touch.

When all was said and done, both beings disappeared and Snow Hawk uttered the strangest thing. "Yes, those were my ancestors". I wish I could tell you more about it, but to be quite frank, the day's events were too strange to utter more. I run the risk of spreading more rumor than fact even now.
Oh. I almost failed to report that the mongrel dragon you spoke of was Snow Hawk himself transformed.

He pauses but continues to stoke the fire.

This land is definitely magical and full of adventure if you seek it. If you wish to live a quiet life and grow old at home, this isn't the place for you.

Night Owl lays some venison out on a heated rock somewhere in the viridale forest, having heard the story first hand. He knew what his choice was, and the changes and challenges he would face. Though he hoped the Tribe of the Rhemorhaz would not be forgotten by the young warrior.
Lauan - knight of Thay " I have no fear, and death is merely an inconvenience to me. I do not die until ordered to do so, I do not fall until every last bit of life has left me. I stand tall, proud, a Thayan knight."

      Adeodatus Exitium -
"Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart, for his purity, by definition, is unassailable." — James Baldwin
