  • Ding Dong the witch is dead......

Snow Hawk has travelled far across the lands to tell how Hano the Honorable, Pom the Strong, Rellik the Skilled and Himself, brought down the Ice Hag in the midst of a snow storm while her goddess pummeled them with ice, hail, and sleet.

The most exciting part he tells of is when the little druid had knocked her to the ground as a giant cat.. and the Paladin was preparing to offer her surrender terms.. when the barbarian of many forms brought down a massive club on her head, driving her body deep deep into the snow with a sickening crunch.

He says there was a party thrown in the Viridale that night where even the trees walked amongst men.

The common word he spreads is.. "The witch is dead, winter has ended!"

While they celebrate their victory, they quietly spread one bit of news... she had a partner that escaped. No name is known, but a good description of Rhime is given to whoever will listen to them.

    ===========================================
Generic looking halfling, wears his hood pulled closed, brown leathers, black cloak, shifty dark eyes. **tries to describe the face he saw when he pounced on the little guy trying to get away but will leave that for Jaeram to fill in the gaps**

**If you got a good look at his face, a person might be able to discern that he has darkish skin, and some sort of grey-ish scar on his face.**

      Rhime - or is he?

          * A wispy follower of Eldath sheds a tear when she hears about how the barbarian of many forms killed the fallen hag while she was on her back and considering possible surrender. The celebrations make her sick, and she isolates herself for many days. *

          * Meanwhile, an entity dressed in dark mail with intense eyes smiles proudly at the news. *

Standing atop the snow covered mountains, a lone figure peers out over the horizon. The winter winds howl in protest, their cries filling the land with despair.
The lands had known a semblence of peace, a measure of calm, but the season was soon to change.........
Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
            Contagion to this world.

Night Owl could not help but feel happy the hag was dead, but the way she had met her end was rather sad. He had seen the tortured child within her, the part that was rejected, and he knew that she should have been given a chance. Night Owl does not attend the celebrations.

The half orcish hag had been a danger, and Sundren and it's people were now just a tad safer than before. Still, Yashia was uncertain just how to feel about what had come to pass. She had never gotten a chance to really get to know who the witch was, what she had been doing, and what her intentions were. Was it necessary for her to die to eliminate the threat that she posed? It would probably remain a mystery. Whatever the case, Yashia's mood was not festive enough to attend to the party.

"The poor disgusting hag", thought Shalika as she heard the news. "She was obsessed with destroying Snow Hawk and his tribe, and now she is dead. A girl has to be careful not to pick fights with those more powerful. Though perhaps she did have allies, and death truly is a temporary thing..."

Incidently, the attacks on beautiful women have stopped completely, though no one knows why...

Pom has spoken the following on a few occasions after the battle. "I hadn't know her very well. We went up there looking for vampire tracks, not to get into a fight with the ice witch. It was so cold and she attacked us two times. At least Im pretty sure she attacked first both times I mean it all happened so quick. Im glad I could help but I wasnt really looking for a fight. Snow said that we did a great service to the grove and if thats true then Im happy about it. But I still feel uneasy about having somone pinned and about to spare them while giant man with a club smushes her, but I was trying to defend my friends and you gotta do that right?"

"The Foehammer tribe in regret lay slain, the embrace of winter is all that remains. That is what she said to me before this all happend. I wonder what it means?"
