  • Gathering at the Triumvirate

Rumors have spread amongst the common-folk of a meeting being held at the Triumvirate. The meeting seems to have been planned abruptly and will take place soon.

They report that they've heard such from a Paladin of Torm named Hano, searching for all good-hearted adventurers that are willing to help their cause. There are no details on what the meeting is about or what will be asked of them, however.

Nulinus smiles to a young boy and pats him on the head, handing him a coin for his help. "Thank you lad, I will be sure to attend." Nulinus walks off to the military district.

*Amber walked out into the rain after an exceedingly draining night. Finally back to her bright self, her spellfire seemed to have returned after an entire day of stomach pain, throbbing headaches, and being unable to manipulate the Weave. Holding Pockets gently, she whispered to him and made her way back to the University dorm, dreading her next day of classes*

Eira could be heard some time latter chattering merrily to anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in her somewhat inebriated presence.

She talks of the servants of the house of three finding themselves all but helpless in the face of their enemies, having to recruit from around a campfire as their own paladins were incapable of doing the job.

The assembled group was to travel across Sundren to deliver a box to an old pervert who didn't even try to open it, but talked at some length about ancient and powerful magic designed to remove a woman's clothes at a distance.

After a brief diversion caused by her abortive attempts to cook some meat on the fire she continues, in more hushed and fearful tones..

“The box we took, it damaged the spellcasters. One waif of a girl and her pet rabbit did little more than writhe and moan in pain for the entire trip.” She pauses, looking a touch disturbed “More than is it severed our connections to the gods! To go so long knowing the maiden was not watching over me

With a look of consternation and the occasional conspiratorial glances to those around she finishes “This box is said to be an object of fearful power; it wreaked havoc amongst our most powerful spell casters and shut the gods out of our minds, yet the house of three keep it with a single mage, you must wonder what corruption it has wrought upon him!” She shakes her head sadly “This ‘arch-mage’ threatened to consume a paladins soul if he failed! Are those the words you expect to hear from one truly loyal to the three?”

After this her conversation turns less rumour worthy; involving axes, the possibility of dancing and the location of more ale.
        Eira Skald - Icy bitch.
Karsten Mannerheim - Idealist and murderer.
Vincent Hopkins - Witch Hunter and man of faith.
Aedan Gilter - Dreamer of broken dreams.
Henry L. Jones - Oh god, I can see forever.

Tamryn tells a more somber tale later that evening, to a somewhat less rowdy crowd at the Sundren Comfort, after tossing and turning for a few hours in an effort to find sleep.

"...came under attack on the road to the Gate, by a veritable legion of mercenaries. And they were skilled ones, too, not the sort of riff-raff one would sweep out of the Trading Post. Almost half of the volunteers that assembled were knocked out or seriously wounded by the repeated assaults."

She pauses for a sip, then continues. "They all did their best, as did we, and at the end of the day we got information on the Thing and brought it safely back to the Hands of Mundus. But this raises some troubling questions about trade, doesn't it? If the Legion's patrols can't detect a force of some five or six dozen men setting up an ambush along one of the most traveled roads in the land, how secure are your trade caravans going to be? Especially in summer high season?"

Tamryn's eyes sweep across the listeners, resting a moment longer on those with the sort of fancy clothing that one normally expects at the Comfort. "The truth of the matter is, the Legion and the Temple, and all the protectors of the land... we are overworked and under-resourced. You haven't seen much disruption in trade, even with distractions such as that damnable demon and this artifact. But a little coin spent now, to help reinforce those who keep you safe, could prevent a lot of loss for you later."

          "Just consider it, and pray..."

"Helm guard you in these troubled times; Torm grant you the strength to weather them well."
Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki

Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance

On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul
