A battle within the Viridale

Apparently a significant skirmish has taken place within the Viridale. The evidence is there for all who travel through it to see. The charred corpses of what appear to be Orcs, numbering a hundred or more, lie scattered across Mossclaw Meet. While they have been mostly burned, a scent of corruption akin to that found in the diseased parts of the forest is noticeably present. The vegetation near these vanquished orcs seems unhealthy and grey.

Some say that these were only part of a great number within the forest that have been afflicted with this plague. Only time will tell.

The border forts are reinforced at the news. Sentries can be seen sharpening their weapons and watching the forest with apprehension.
