A rumor also spreads that the object is not a family heirloom, but an object protected by celestial forces, and that the girl is possessed by a demon.
A note is posted on a wall nearby the camp of the Schild mountains:
***
Do not believe the speakers of lies. The harbringers of doom. I have sequestered this object in the greater sense of good. She is like a dust addict without her fix.
I will deliver the object only to whom I see fit to withstand it's power.

*A poem is stuck onto the side of the notice*
The speaker, she lieth,
And doom, she bringeth,
For stolen her crystal,
not by the little.
Stolen 'twas, all for the good,
Seek it not, even if you could,
Lest your life be dangered,
Lest the thief be angered.
