*A rumor spread's quickly through the city of Zhuul's apprenticship, although it changes with each telling, ranging from him being a dark and powerful necromancer to being a friendly wizard, the general facts remain the same* It is said he studied under Dworkin the mad, and that he was taught he was destined for greatness if he followed in his footsteps. As a child he did so and watched many a friend die, not caring at all as he had figured out how the house of madness worked. He became more like Dworkin with each passing day, learning at his footsteps of all magics, and seeking to become lord and master of all. From the Firey evocation to the Darkest Necromancy. Zhuul now believes that destiny chose him to become the most powerful archmage, more powerful then Elminister himself! Dworkin was said to be a harsh teacher, who punished any who disobeyed him with a strong hand. Many an apprentice was forever lost within the halls of madness but only Zhuul escaped alive. He now seeks more power then Dworkin and believes that he can obtain it. He is also no friend of the thayans, saying they cannot be trusted.

If ever asked about Z'huul, Andrea Beauregarde - the free druidess - remarks on how nice he seems, and highly doubts he is a necromancer. She also seems to enjoy the company of his beetle familiar, Syzygy.

I read in The Waterdahavian Herald that Z'huul was producing and staring in a recently written ( by Z'huul) Ballet version of "An Elven Bard in King Bruenors Court".
