  • Death of an Anarchist

Word spreads of the demise of the elf Malaclypse Discordia. While many had thought him dead after his part in attempting to bomb the Thayan compound, it appears the renegade mage eluded justice for some time following that. It is said that he was responsible for the recent campaign of terror against the Red Wizards, as some patrons of the Floating Flagon recognised the elf when he entered that establishment and slew a Thayan and two others. However, it is said that the Red Wizards and their cronies hunted him down and put an end to him. Opinions seem to vary as to whether he was a violent lunatic, or some sort of freedom fighter associated with the Harpers.

Rumours of a rather dark skinned, almost geryish, snake-woman aided the Thayans in Malaclypse's death. The extent of her aid is varied from rumour to rumour, ranging from her calling upon snakes to blind Malaclypse to the earth while the Red Wizards blasted him with spells to her simply telling where Malaclypse was and falling in critical condition seconds into the fight.

Sitting in a tavern Kheperu hears about the attack on the enclave and the execution of Malaclypse.

"Snake-woman... huh, must have been this strange creature with the ssssspeaking problem I met lately. A Thayan agent!? Well no wonder she was so unpleasant."

Ordering an another drink, he speaks a short prayer to Kossuth.

"To you Malaclypse! I don't hold with your deeds, but thank you for making me aware of the Thayians and their agent."

Wincott "Oh really? Who was he again?" Looks through a scroll.

Elric hears of Mal's demise at the Flagon. "Hmm, too bad, he seemed a good sort, although a bit daft," Elric thinks as he silently raises his mug, drains it, and places it atop the table upside down.

He then straightens and walks out of the tavern.

After returning from his long leave of abscence, Val hears the rumours regarding Mal's demise and wears a shocked expression for some time. He then abrubtly stands, pays for his drinks and hurries out of the taven with great haste.

During the following days, Juniper Foley is seen around the area, dressed in black, the spring in her step noticably absent, her mood somber. She seems rather subdued, and uncharacteristically quiet.
