Fishy Feast Festival!

Tyranus has Flyers handed out to locals throughout Port Avanthyr and posted in public forums by refuges he pays from the Sanctuary.

Bards are paid to give the following speeches in the crowded markets:
"Come one come all, you are invited to the 'Fishy Feast Festival!' Bring your kids and family for a great time down at the docks! Enjoy a fun time with food&ale, music and games! A raffle will also take place outside the Sanctuary!"

(Everyone is invited so long as your character can enter the port, City rules still apply to bh/thayans/whoever else they hate. an official date will be picked later! See you there!)

Tyranus Blackbeard, Champion of the People! invites you to join the 'Fishy Feast Festival' down at the docks of Port Avanthyr! There will be free food, drinks and games! As well as prizes and tales of adventures! Be sure to bring offerings to the Sea Queen during the opening ceremonies for a profitable year in seafaring!

Bards are paid to go out again through the valley reminding everyone that the festival is this #! (Sunday afternoon)

Tyranus also sends for those who said they wished to help with cooking and fishing and asks for their help as soon as they're free.

((This event will occur tomorrow at 4 PM EST, time subject to change depending on needs for setup and DM availability. Bring your swim trunks.

[Fateful Encounter]

Throughout the week, merchants, travelers, and sailors arrive in Avanthyr and begin setting up stalls all around the docks. Meriadoc Bravos are stationed around the festival boundaries to maintain security and Priestess Avelyn of Umberlee is paid proper tribute for the Bitch Queen's blessings. Blackwood Company Guild Elite "Thumper" Reeds arrives with a small band of mercenaries; a slight tension fills the Port, but otherwise they pass through Avanthyr's gates without incident.

Sailors, refugees, and all of Avanthyr eagerly await the start of festivities. Many thank Tyranus Blackwall for his sponsoring of the event and look happily forward to a day of merriment and the forgetting of their troubles.
