Viridale Rumors

Rangers of the Viridale speak of a large group of Mossclaw Alliance ogres migrating into the heart of the wood. The effects of their movement is noticeable, as game animals become displaced and the lesser giant kin make a complete mess of wherever they choose to make camp.

The Eyes and Ears of Viridale remain puzzled as to the cause of the ogres' exodus from their caves. Those looking for answers will have to seek the truth for themselves...

Small caravans occasionally come and go through the forest bringing steam powered wood slicers and guarded Exigo employees. The caravans create small logging camps where operations last only a day or two day before they depart leaving debris and tree stumps behind.

The Viridale has been bustling with unusual activity lately, including the movements of the Mossclaw, who seem to be gathering at key points within the forest - for what purpose, who can say?

A trio of elven priests has been seen in the vicinity of the shrine to Sehanine Moonbow in the outskirts of the Viridale, though it is uncertain what their purpose is. They fade into shadow at the approach of any other than one born to blood of the Tel'Quessir, and return only when outsiders and interlopers have departed.

Mossclaw Aggression

The creatures of the woods are on the move. The normally fast moving logging operations are forced to slow down as Mossclaw forces appear more frequently. In response, a small contingent of guards are sent to secure the workers for the time being. Exigo reps offer adventurers bonuses for their work in Viridale for helping move their operations along.

After putting in a days worth of work dispatching a good number of these beasts, Jericho sits down and begins to grind his gears over an ax he has acquired from the Grimax War-chief.

Pleased with the effects on the Exigo logging operations, Dalian is content to merely observe the Mossclaw from afar. However, she is keen to keep on the lookout for whatever might be causing the aggression.

Respite in Viridale

After a short series of assaults by the banded creatures of the forest, logging operations return to a sense of normalcy. Publicly, swift responses from teams of Blackwood mercenaries and Exigo specialists are credited for scattering the bulk of the encroaching combatants from Exigo operations and supply roads. It is rumored locally though that an unlikely pair of adventurers had a hand in the easing of recent conflict. Whatever their actions may have been, the Tribes have pulled back their forces deep into the forest shortly thereafter. But for how long...
