Tales of Sundren: Surveying the Rubble (with DM Assistance)

Rumor at the Second Wind circulates about a local Oghman scribe organizing a private trip to the rubble of the former estate and domain of Hadavi, vampire queen. Just another sight seeing tour for another bardic yarn, perhaps...

(( Following are event specifics for the people who were present at its announcement. ))

Adeline Loveless has made an arrangement with Duncan Valentine to travel into the mountains and sift through the rubble of the blood mansion. The bardess has arranged the group in order to scavenge and collect any "valuable information" that they can. Neither Duncan nor Adeline have specified what they expect to find precisely, but Adeline has asked that any items resembling books, scrolls, maps, keys, and other forms of documentation be turned into her care so that they may be identified and restored by the Church of Oghma. In exchange, this information will be made freely available to the Triumvirate, and with luck, may help them in their just goals.

Any items appearing to be cursed, significantly dangerous or powerful, or otherwise "of interest" should be turned into a community pile so that Adeline, Duncan, and the group may decide what to do with them: whether to destroy, save, or distribute them. (( Obviously, some characters may be less-than-forthcoming about their finds...And I am completely cool with that! ))

All other "spoils" however have been designated as fair game; Adeline has pointed out that whatever they don't collect may fall into the hands of bandits, which benefits no one.

A word of caution has also been issued: because the mansion suffered so much damage, it may be structurally unstable, and every assistant on the expedition has been advised to take caution. Other dangers may include, but are not limited to: unsprung traps, untriggered wards, roaming beasts, bandits, and remnant "friends" of the vampires....

For those that were present and expressed interest to Adeline in attending the trip (see list below), I've put up a Doodle Poll to help us arrange a good time for as many to attend as possible. I will say that I'd like to keep the group numbers manageable, so for those that would like to join the trip "officially" but aren't on the list below, just send post a letter to Adeline on the forums or catch her in game to RP their request to join.

We will definitely need a DM's help with this, so available DM's are also welcome to respond; we need you, and your playtimes are fiat. (Fingers crossed!) If no DMs are available for any of the Doodle Poll times, we will do our best to find the very next best date. As a note, this event ICly occurs in relatively quick time, and delays are otherwise OOC only, out of an attempt to help others get involved.

Once we decide on a day and time, we can meet up in game. So far, Adeline knows to send a message out to following individuals (shortly before the trip) about the rendezvous point for the expedition:

Upon hearing of the venture, James Frazer indicates that while he is not available to assist in the expedition itself, but would be most willing to offer his expertise in the subsequent analysis and cataloging of any such finds, prefferably to include record of any artifacts* located.

*-artifact referring to "an object produced or shaped by human craft, especially a tool, weapon, or ornament of archaeological or historical interest", not the less restrictive term for "A magical item of significance with a caster level greater than 20"
