  • A miracle shower?

    * Up and down the Pioneers way rumor has begun to spread about a miracle of nature taking place within the valley, gossips and farmers traveling the dangerous roads speak of the old Heywood farmstead that sits upon the crossroads between the Hellstrom castle, Exigo trade hub and the Second Wind Inn. The lands around the farmstead, which have until recently been infertile and unproductive have begun to show signs of life once more, this burst of life has been directly related to a sudden and unusual formation of heavy clouds that poured huge amounts of rain upon the crossroads area.*

    * Even greater rumors persist, for 'eye witnesses' claim to have seen two holy men search the old farmstead where it is said that they eventually found the skeletal remains of an adult male scattered around the back of the barn, many whisper the remains show signs of a brutal death. Worse still is the discovery of another set of adult remains that were found in a corner of the farmsteads basement, this second skeleton is claimed to have been found clutching two much smaller sets of remains in what appeared to be a final, loving embrace, the remains have since been collected by the two unidentified holy men and have been laid to rest with full burial rites.
Local villagers and common folk have begun to pray for the Heywood family that they might finally find their true place of rest.*

A formidable young man visits this site frequently. He dons a full suit of bronze armor, covered by a dark brown leather cloak to keep dry. His hat is pulled low so his eyes are not easily seen, and the rain spills from the brim. Often, a sprig of hay is dangling from the corner of his mouth.

On each visit, the man removes his gauntlets to place his hands upon a lone apple tree in the deserted farmstead. He visits the Heywoods' graves as well, again, placing a hand on each tombstone. His hand lingers on these objects lovingly.

Most strangely, the man routinely performs chores on the abandoned farm. One day, he may be seen mending a broken part of fence. Another, sweeping the cobwebs from the barn rafters. He seems fond of this property and its deceised owners - fond enough perhaps to return it to working order.

He takes note of any visitors to the farm, warmly engaging any who approach him.
