A dead body has recently been found lying next to the entrance of the Second Wind Inn. Within the cadaver's clutches is a rolled-up piece of parchment. Someone appears to have left a message.
To the recipient of this note,
The following corpse has been located by myself along the main road from Sundren City. It would appear this person had angered a group of Sundarian Legion deserters, as he was already quite dead upon my discovery. A piece of equipment appeared to have the name "Barik" inscribed upon it. My regards to his family. May he find a proper burial.
