Tery Mard moves through the Viridale on a scouting mission. Worried about the latest rumours of Bloodmaim activity, he first checks the Gnoll village.
"Only a few of them about. They are not here in their usual numbers." he mutters to himself after disposing of the few he finds. "Well, that fits with what I heard."
He procedes past the village and heads for Grimaxe Hold. Arriving there, he finds the place deserted, or so he thinks. Reaching the highest point in the village, he sees an orc Chief in combat with an elf named Quiraji and a gnome he doesn't know. As he watches, they defeat the Chief quite handily. Speaking to them, he confirms that the Chief was the only orc found in the village. "He must have been seeking his folk." he comments. "However, it would appear that the Grimaxe have been absorbed by the Bloodmaim, as was rumoured."
The three return to the Legion Camp. On the way, Tery learns that the gnome, who chooses to be known as "Gnome" has been in discussions for Corps membership with Capitain Eddy. Leaving the two in the Legion Camp, Tery returns to Sestra, where he immediately puts Sestra on high alert and continues improving defenses and training at the highest possible level that will leave the Corps prepared to face the imminent threat when and if it occurs.
He also puts out messages to all friends of Sestra, requesting that they join the Corps as soon as they may in order to face the orc threat.
