  • Posters signed in blood

A slightly brownish, almost leathery parchment can be seen pegged to posts in the dark alleys of Sundren, and along some of the lesser travelled paths of the pioneer's way.

Spot 10+ (The poster appears to be made from skin, possibly human?)

"Tired of living in fear? Oppressed by the boot heels of the government, and the church?

In a land rife with war and turmoil, where does the common man stand? We believe one's own strength is the tool to salvation. Where others turn away, we provide.

Knowledge. To fight, to kill. To take dominance in one's life. The law will not protect you, the blade at your side will.

Noble or knave, you are all equal in the eyes of the Cult of Victis... Those who prove their worth elevate their power.

    Will you?"

A skull painted in blood marks the signature of the message. Just below it a hastily scrawled map at the bottom of the page indicates a location near Shar's Abaddon, and a meeting time... midnight in a week's time.

[OOC - event will take place approx 1pm EST on Sat Apr 28th]
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The "Cult of Victis" reaches the lips of many cut-throats and vagabonds, seeking their next score. The Triumvirate are put on high alert to regard this new presence as "pure poison to the soul" and "the greatest immediate threat to the hearts and minds of the people".

Rumors spread that some nobles of a more insidious nature venerate the cult behind closed doors.

Meanwhile the Legion continues to focus its efforts on the war with the Bloodmaim.

Murders once commonplace in a city's populace are now claimed by the Cult of Victis. The purpose -- whether for initiation or promotion within the group, seems unknown.
