Of Carts and Corpses: A murdered guard!

Legionnaires can be found standing in shock around a broken-down cart in the Entertainment District, with two Clinici stammering feeble explanations to a superior officer.

Rumor has it a cart carrying stripped corpses of criminals bound for a pyre had broken down. For reasons unknown, a man murdered the guard that remained to watch over it while his colleagues went to get a cartwright.

Nobody is quite sure what happened, but judging from the state of the guard's corpse, it was violent and wicked. Naturally, speculations of the culprits range from the Black Hand to the Red Wizard, with every patron of every inn loudly proclaiming knowing what truly happened.

Oddly enough, none of these sages have found their way to the Legion yet to file an official report.

When Sile hears the rumour she just utters in a low voice to her fellow in arms: "I think, somebody neglected the paperwork again ...". The vivid picture of Samak standing in front of the cart trying to repel the attackers with the quill in his hands, slowly conjured up a smile on her face. "... I expect our wise and omniscient superiors to appoint a committee of at least two dozens of them in a week or two, to find out after a month of painstaking contemplation, that the dead guy, could be really dead, because he ...", she fights the sudden laughing spasm, "... he didn't send his paperwork ... i-iin!", she bursts in cheerful laugh.
