Rumors spread of a duel between two members of the Blackwood Company which has taken place in the town square of Aquor. The duel was between Ja'Mahri Reeds, champion of the Proving Grounds and Kyle Rendell, a self proclaimed sword saint. Some say that it was the greatest match between swordsmen, some say that Kyle cheated, some even say that Kyle had paid a mob of gypsies to attack Thumper. But whatever did happen, the results were still the same. Kyle emerged victorious, becoming Blackwood's best swordsman and elevating his status to the guild's elite mercenary. With Thumper defeated, some suggest that the only one in the valley able to match Rendell's skill with the sword may be the true saint of swords, Vaer Vitori.
