Hand Torches Exigo Merchandise!

A gnome in a bright red tunic and matching bright red cap climbs atop his soapbox in the Sundren City Trade Tier and clears his throat before speaking:

"Hear ye! Hear ye! Hand of Mundus destroys controversial Exigo merchandise!

Yesterday, a merchant from the Exigo Syndicate visited the Second Wind tavern to unveil the latest in adventurer entertainment: plush dolls. But not just any plush dolls, mind you! Vampire plush dolls! The adorable little bloodsuckers are thought to be the next big thing, each one coming with a small magical enchantment. Even more interesting, they are selling limited edition vampire plush dolls made to look like Sundren's most famous vampire villains, such as the Dread Clive or the Angry Ruby.

Well, apparently these cute little dolls didn't sit well with a Hand of Mundus who happened to be at the site of the unveiling. An argument ensued and the result was a clash of arms and the complete burning of all the merchandise! Naturally, Exigo is furious over the attack on their stock and is pursuing legal action against the Hand involved.

A trial is slated to occur sometime within the next week at Port Avanthyr over the fate of these huggable little villains. Until the verdict is decided negative, the Exigo is selling these babies as fast as it can, before they might be deemed contraband. Legionnaires are posted anywhere they are sold and names of purchasers are being taken for reference. If you want one of these things, you better get one fast before they're blacklisted!

The gnome hops off his soapbox, picks it up in one arm, and races off with it, whistling as he goes. A moment later, a pair of frowning Legionnaires runs by in pursuit of the little red-garbed gnome.

Alandriel smirks as she hears the news.

"I'm going to keep supporting the Legion as the rightful authority," she comments to whoever is wandering through Aquor at the time, "and encouraging adventurers to set aside their prejudices against authority, since they do have the land's best interests at heart. But... heh. The jokes just write themselves, don't they?"

Deep in her pack, a plushie Iosolde is silent in stoic agreement.
