  • Legal Addendum - Unlawful Worship

*posters are plastered on commonly-used meeting areas, in and out of the city*

By Order of the Sundren Council

Due to increasing violence and destruction within the holdings of Sundren state, all servants and clergy of the listed gods are hereby subject to permanent exile. Any person, foreign or native, who is found eliciting blessings, carrying holy symbols, or professing worship to these gods will be arrested on sight. Those who refuse public denunciation of faith will face permanent expulsion. Any who resist arrest or are found within Sundren after expulsion will be subject to execution.

The clergy, by names and aliases, are as follows:

Talos - The Destroyer, Storm Lord
Cyric - The Prince of Lies, Dark Sun, Black Sun
Talona - The Lady of Poison, Mistress of Disease, Mother of All Plagues

Citizens are encouraged to report any activity to local law enforcement. Do not approach any patrons of these gods or attempt to take action against them. They are considered dangerous.

Kaizen of the Storms pauses before one of these posters, mournful thoughts drifting to Will Stormheart and Vader Kataklysm.

They would see the truth, one of these days. He would show them.

    If they didn't die first.

Giving thanks and a short prayer to Akadi, he stumbles his way back to the Grove.

A giant man with the charred black skin and eyes like that of a blue-white colored vortex pauses in his long stretched gait and coming to a sudden and complete halt before one of these posters within the Exigo grounds.

He reads the contents of the notice and when his eyes fall upon the word Talos,he can feel the fervor growing, but his hate becomes stronger..Suddenly,in a quick flash of blue, the poster drifts from the tree in ashes.

"They mark the Kataklysm even after he lends his power,Kozah's power,in destroying the threat of Xithis!! Have they forgotten already the deeds of my destruction upon this valley's enemies..I am Kataklysm and not clergy!! They can try taking me and when they do try, they will truly have a reason to post this shit of a poster!!

The giant, frothing from the mouth with rage, storms out of the Exigo Trade Post.
"Feel the fervor growing, but the hate is stronger. My heart was whole with you,but the pain was mine."

Across the city the posters of the Sundren Council are slashed and mutilated, carved across with a block capital statement.

"THOSE WHO DENY THE TRUTH OF CYRIC WILL PERISH – DEATH STALKS ALL WHO PRAISE FALSE GODS"

The edges of the tears are discoloured and warped, those near the posters around the time of the mutilations complain of a bitter and chill breeze and of the general sensation of something walking over their graves.

A dark haired newcomer to Sundren observes and listens to all of the tales, rumors, and posters displayed on the walls, including those mutilated and vandalized. He preferred to remain a stranger for the time, choosing not to pick sides in these foreign affairs. However, he was riddled with one question that presented a hint of bias.

"Why, when feeling so strongly against this law, do they attack the papers instead of those wielding the pen?" he questioned.

"Following laws does not make a good man, but a good man should be making the laws... or standing against the ones he believes are unjust. Perhaps they are planning," the man continues to muse to himself while gathering shreds of a poster to place into a trash barrel, "or maybe not. It will be interesting to see the outcome of this, to say the least."
Zann Wicker: "It is doubt that educates us, not faith."
