Slowly prices for food have begun to rise. Vegetables are the most noticeable, with fruits and meat being a close second. Certain goods that were originally imported have not changed in price, but a typical sit down meal nowadays seems almost 1 1/2 times what it was several months ago and is beginning to rise. A few restaurants and grocers have already gone out of business.
(Gather Information ranks 5 or Knowledge Local ranks 3 or Lore ranks 16 or Membership in the Exigo Syndicate or Thayan Enclave) - Supposedly, one of the main reasons for this rise in food prices is the continued struggling state of Sestra, one of the valley's original larger providers of food. Many farmlands of the town are still in a state of repair from the lizardman attack some time ago. The farmlands west of the Exigo Trade Post have been pushed hard and falling short with food demands.
(Gather Information ranks 8 or Membership in the Exigo or Thayan Enclave)- Due to the failures of local farms to provide enough food, Sundren has been forced to resort to contracts with outside providers to import food. Naturally, imported food tends to cost more than growing it locally.
(Gather Information ranks 15 or Membership in the Thayan Enclave)- Supposedly the Aquor Enclave is at least one of those that provided one of these new imported food contracts. This rumor is sketchy though.
