  • Smith Hammerings

Rumours have been spreading around the Trade Tier that hammerings and arcane castings have been going on within the shop. Every so often, a one eyed elf comes out, smokes a cigar, and walks back in for several days.
    Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

    [DM] Poltergeist :

    The Sea

Peridan climbed down the last steps from the town of Sestra, holding a large bundle over his back and a battered spell book in his hands. He reached the sandy outcropping, kicking off his boots and pausing for a moment to gaze at the setting sun splashing colors across the horizon.

He set the bundle down, and removed his tunic to revel in the salty breeze, enjoying the unusually calm summer night approaching. Scars littered his body, ranging from small cuts to a gaping mass of scar tissue at his side, from a Veritas spearman. He closed his eye for a moment, just breathing, before turning back to pick up the bundle covered in arcane runes and writings. Unwrapping it, a sword is revealed to his proud eye, a thing of beauty and grace that not many swordsmiths are able to produce in their lifetimes. The blade is silver, about five feet in length, and looked light in his hand. Moving swiftly in an unreadable attack, he begins a martial form of thrusts and parries known only to a handful of Nael'Kerym left in the world. The sword responded beautifully, perfectly balanced and a soft hum filled the rapidly approaching dusk air.

Breathing heavily, he walked to the water and waded in. The sea was unusually calm, and the tide was rolling in. The reflection of the rising moon can be seen in the violet and orange-red water. He took the sword, and sliced through the visage with it, leaving barely a ripple as the blade's sharp edge allows. Satisfied with his work, finally, he pulled out the gem given to him by Cybil and placed it within the gray leather hilt of the sword, murmuring arcane words that made the air shudder slightly around him.

A soft glow radiated from the sword, and Peridan knew that it was complete. However, something was nagging at his mind, something that he couldn't explain. As though the sword had one more purpose to fufill before being used in battle, but.....He shook his head, wading his way back onto the beach where his things lay. The Seldarine knew that it would be revealed in time, he supposed. For now, it was time to introduce the sword to its master.

As Peridan walked away from the beach, the reflection of the tide shimmered in the silver face of the sword.
