  • Bringing the Truth, to the People

Several Posters are placed up throughout Sestra, located on important non-residential buildings.

    Thayan Experiment Loose!
Thayans, in a disregard for human safety, have allowed a crazed monster loose and to roam Sundren. Even worse, the creature has already attacked and murdered several people!

If, during any time you hear loud inhuman howls while outside, seek the safety of indoors immediately for at least until the sounds of the murderous creature have pass. Do not allow yourself or loved ones to die to Thayan Creations.

    Sadistic Thayan Activity in Sestra.
Even more proof of Thayan Heartlessness and Cruelty to us, people they look down on as lessers.

During an unusual undead attack upon Sestra, a citizen's attempt to flee from death by an undead monster was for naught. As a diabolical Thayan - a red wizard named Neffriel - sent hellish flames to not only block the man's only avenue of escape, but gave the unfortunate soul no time to react or pull back before being incinerated in a horrific manner.

As people gather to look upon the various scattered posters, Pyras, who has been lingering in the area of Sestra since the end of the warfare, readies a speech in retaliation to the accusations. Should people refuse to listen or depart from the speech, the Red Wizard elects to transcribe it into written format, posted alongside "The Truth".

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"People of Sestra, do not worry that you are gripped in a political struggle. The Enclave will not be resorting to smear-tactics today, as was seen fit to be done by this anonymous, and thereby unsubstantiated source. At current, we have nothing ill to say, and most certainly no ill-will toward either the Corsairs or Triumvirate, nor the individual or individuals to have compiled this slander. Instead, allow me to account for the staggering amount of facts that allow these preposterous claims to be refuted.

Firstly, the most esteemed and respected Cybil of the Triumvirate along with her equally respectable friend in the Corsairs, Cirion, can attest to Thayan aid in regard to this loose creature. I, personally, saw to driving the creature away from Sestra after it attacked. Allow this act to convey to you a simple message, people of Sestra: the Enclave bears you no ill-will. Were we really the creators of this... this thing, we would not be assisting in it's destruction, which both the Triumvirate and Corsairs can attest to our doing.

Secondly, were this nonsense of Thayan murder correct, allow me to ask why we were so avidly involved in the liberation of Sestra in the first place? It would be a terrible, self-contradictory action to begin rampantly and obnoxiously murdering citizens and bringing harm to a city that we fought viciously to protect and save. My associate Neffriel, accused of murder, was in fact responsible for discovering the weakness of the enemy in the recently concluded battles, essentially contributing to the conclusion of the travesty. Moreover, I, myself, accompanied a number of soldiers into the heart of the caves in Sestra, freeing many captives and purging the remaining enemy from the city.

And yet, despite all of this, we aim to pillage your city with genetically-engineered gorilla-constructs with glowing, flailing arms? While I'm certain the poster of these notes has nothing but good intentions, I think it is needless to say that his logic is flawed. We are not your enemies, Sestra. As a demonstration of our good will here, I will be making a donation this very moment to the rebuilding effort, of 2000 stags."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With that, Pyras is sure to make eye-contact with as many individuals as possible, a brief nod thereafter, before walking off to in fact make that donation.

Durin happens across one of the posters and scoffs as he reads it. "Damned wagglers dippin' them long wagglin' fingers inteh everythin' anymore ain' they..." He shakes his head negatively, letting his red beard waggle with it and then clomps off elsewhere in Sestra.

The small crowd gathered around the posters quiets their murmured conversation as the red wizard begins his speech, and turn to listen to his arguments. Several in the crowd seem unswayed by the mage's words -- glaring at Pyras with distrust bordering on hostility. A larger group, however, seems more open to hearing out the wizard. The mention of a monetary donation causing several whispers and nods.

After Pyras finishes speaking, a small group forms, and moves toward the corsair headquarters to confront the newly appointed leaders and find out if they will, in fact, attest to the good intentions of the Thayans.

The Keeper said it were Vampyric." He shakes his head, and goes to report this to the cleavers after his patrol.
