A tall, lanky elf walks up to a guard outside of the Mirakus post and gives him a smile. He then gives the guard a note and asks him to deliver the note to the commander of the post.

Commander,

I heard of your recent encounter with the new denizens of Sestra and offer my services. I am unsure from the account I heard if you employed ranger scouts, but if you did not, I offer my services so that you are no longer surprised by ambushes or large numbers.

If you know the enemy and its dispositions, you can then more easily defeat them or retreat with none or little casualties.
