Dear Abbott,
Although I am unfamiliar with the exact nature of Vampires I am relatively sure I encountered one yesterday under distressing circumstances. While examining the exterior of a local cave in the hills that has become such a focus of goblin activity a lady of very odd appearance and bearing walked among two strangers I had just met and myself.
Only my ignorance of the possibility of a day-walking vampire kept me from making a quick decision and leaving immediately yet the strangers I was with at the time did not seem to mind her presence and she showed no obvious menace. Only though introductions was I able to hear their names: Drashan and Charlene. The alleged vampire said no name that I can remember but lead them both (and a third who?s name I cannot recall, curse my initial panic) into the caves as bodyguards apparently. If I had not already felt on edge from hard fights before I fear I may have followed them all in as if all was normal.
I have seen none of them since last night and as I never introduced myself or decide to go with them I fear the worst. If there is any way a humble workman of traps, locks and puzzles can be of assistance to your please contact me at your convenience from whence this letter came.
Yours in concern, Whalen Tooms
