  • Letters to Temples and Legion -- Anti - Drug Message

    * letters given cc'd to each of the following:
    High Adjudicators of the Triumvirate
    Abbot Orlan
Head Legionnaire, Barracks of the Watch
    Temple of Oghma

    *

    Please be advised:

I am sure you are all aware of the recent influx of narcotics within Sundren's borders. There are even rumours of humanoids getting their hands on these foul substances. I suggest we organize, and try to either stop the spread, or help those that have already come to addiction on these substances. It is bad enough that these are not illegal, but now they are openly moved in the streets and under the protection of the people that should be protecting the people.

An outright ban on narcotics of this nature, that serve no medicinal or theraputic effect should be considered.

    Thank you,
    Yours in Service,
    Cybil Gelley
    Lesser favoured of Ilmater
    Temple Barracks of the Triumvirate.

** an additional small note is attached to Brother Melchiors letter **

    Dear Revered Brother,

I have set up posters offering the services of the Temple for those in need, and wishing to be helped out of these addictions. Also, I think it might be prudent, if we pressure the government to ban these substances forthwith. The Enchanters Cooperative was started to put a dent in Thayan pocket books; getting a ban on their second most lucritive passtime would be effective in that endeavour as well.

    Yours,
    Sister Cybil
Bree - Bookkeeper and diplomat of Exigo.

Becky Dragonhin - Sword of the Loyal Fury, Knight of the Triad... the only Good hin in Sundren???
    Cybil Gelley (Retired)
Perry Turnipfodder - aspiring talent, happy chronicler.

We appreciate your concern for the matter, but as we have it - the Yuan-ti attacks have already taxed our resources as it is. Our money and manpower is to be spent fending off Yuan-ti raiding parties, not some petty 'crimes' that may very well not be a problem in the first place.

I regret to inform you that you will have to be on your own in this endeavor. We cannot spare the resources or time. How would you have it? The people of the Valley forgetting their problems? Or have everyone killed without mercy by Yuan-ti? My priorities are clear, as yours should be.

If you wish to launch an investigation, or a charity fund for those who see this as a 'blight' then so be it. But I must reiterate that we cannot afford to offer any aid at this time.

    Head Legionnaire
