  • A drunken scrawl on a table in the Menacing Mariner

In small words in an obviously drunken hand,

    Why do we kill goblins?
    Because the attack us.

    Why do they attack us?
Because others like us have attacked them.

Why did the others attack the goblins?
Because the goblins attacked the miners.

Why did the goblins attack the miners?
FOR FUN!!! (Gouged into the table angrily)

Why do the goblins not understand that by attacking the miners they bring their deaths upon themselves?

    (the writing becomes illegible)

Next to the note is found the slumped over and snoring body of a halfling some know as Barrigan, along with many empty wine bottles.
