To the Sundren City Whatchmaster:
I am Arlock sStarwinds and I am here to report the atemped murder of my life, the protection of enemies of the state, and abusement of privlages by the Red Blade Sarah Von Richten.
I will start at the beggining as all things must. I was traveling to the Viridian forest to start a long a possible hazardous Parley with the gnolls for treaty purposes and trade. I came upon a group of people and a crying woman who I did not see cleary for she ran befor I could get close. close enouph for me to detect what she truly was. She had already begged to end her life but no one listened to her pleas.
Sarah Von Richten and others set out to find her. I traveled seperatly for reasons that I felt we should have given her the thing she wanted more than any, her own demise. I was opposed to killing her in a fashion other than mercy but then I did not know the whoal truth.
I first encounted dire forest beasts but eluded them with a simple invisability spell. I searched much of viridian forest befor I finnaly found where she had fled to. Sarah unfortunitly found her first witch made things, - complicated.
When I arrived I was still under my spell and should have killed her then. I was a fool to trust the wisdom of Sarah Von Richten. When I saw the Werewolf in full form clearly obvious to everyone the only choice to be had was considered immpossible. Sarah stood in the way of fire.. I would not knowing kill an innocent to destroy a beast so I shouted for her to move if she hadent the Guts or the self responcibility to do it herself.
This went to new straits when my spell dissapated. I was vunerable and clearly no match for everyone there who seemed to want to help this abomination befor the gods. I am a member of the Wizard society and a Alchemist. I know full well the influences and power of the lycen and the trouble they can be.. A cure is completly impossible.
Tests I have been shown and the highest members of the thayan court have all agreed even if the surface disease is cured the lust for brutal and Feral ways are never fully mentally gone. I knew if they had brought her to the camp or worse the City walls. We would all be in Danger..
So I did what was nessasary. I attempted to destroy the creture that Sarah seemed more devoted to than her duties. I was no match for her and the others. they overpowered me and I fell mortally wounded. I believe Valsharoon was with me and I rose once more to confront them but I was no fool. I waited until they were apart and I let my spells aim true and flay the beast with a single shot.
Red Blade indeed. Sarah Von Richten is a self absorbed hopeful fool who will stop at nothing to endanger us all. Sarah Von Richten is a threat for as long as she remains in the position of a esteemed Red Blade. I move that she be removed from her post and placed under arrest for my atemp of murder with deadly force and intentions of treason.

To the Honerable Watch Commander of Sundren City - A report to the watch on the behaviour of members of the Red Blades purporting to work on behalf of the Legion.
I today had the displeasure of encountering several members of the Legion who seemed intent on not only endangering themselves but possibly the entire city of Sundren itself.
While exploring the Viridale encampment I chanced upon a small group tending to a very sick young woman. This woman had apparently come in search of someone to kill her, she begged those present to lay her tormented soul at peace, and end her existence on this plane.
The group at the encampment were, understandably, confused by this woman’s request and sought to question her. During the prolonged conversations that followed between the parties present the woman realised that unless she wanted to be bored to death by morality arguments there was little chance of her request being granted, instead she fled into the Viridale.
Not content with leaving this woman to explore the inner workings of a bear or some such the party (after some considerable deliberation) set off in pursuit, after wasting some hours loosing tracks the woman was once again located. She begged for the release of death, but despite some being willing to fulfil her request those claiming to be in the employ of the Legion threatened violence and arrest if they attempted to help her slip her mortal chains.
While the argument raged a full moon arose, and the reason for the woman’s request for death was revealed; she was affected with Lycanthropy.
While the woman’s form was wracked by the horrors of her transformation the Red Blades stood by and stopped those who would see such a horror put to rest.
A fight ensued between the werewolf’s allies, a small pack of dire wolves, and the assembled group, during this fight the werewolf was rendered unconscious by magical means although not before it had sustained some serious injuries.
A mage, named by others following the event as Arlock, took the honourable course and spared the werewolf from any further horrors of it’s curse by attempting to end the monsters life, in the push and shove that followed he summoned a direwolf and attempted to set it upon the wolf. The Red Blades present set upon the creature not wishing to see the werewolf harmed, causing it to attack them. The Blades made short work of the dire wolf and then set about Arlock, first threatening him with arrest for attacking the werewolf before setting about him with swords, a murderous attempt on his life by four warriors against one man. Thankfully the attack stopped short of claiming his life, but the Blades abandoned him barely able to stand deep within the Viridale while they fussed and cooed over the injured abomination.
Now that was bad enough but what was to follow this quite simply defies belief and leads me to question the sanity of those Blades present who were acting on behalf of the Legion.
The injured werewolf was bound with what rope was available, and slung over the shoulder of a hooded man in chainmail. They aimed to take this werewolf to the Temple of Helm, or the Red Blades headquarters in order to see what could be done.
Now, is this not folly? Werewolves are well known for their strength and quick healing, the idea of carrying one across the lands of Sundren and into the very heart of its capital city bound only with scrap rope and given time to heal strikes me as a fearful and misguided proposition.
I will admit for my part I looked for a way to end the creatures torment as they sought to carry it into the Viridale encapment, but alas I could see no way to cut it’s throat without endangering the one carrying the creature.
Thankfully the one named as Arlock did the right thing, striking the creature with a serious of magic missiles and ending its threat.
For his actions in ending the torment of a woman, and destroying a monster the Blades sought to arrest Arlock.
Those Blades will no doubt seek to have Arlock arrested and charged, personally for the slaying of a dangerous and evil monster I would have thought that a reward would be more fitting.
Would this group of Blades; a spectacled woman with braids in red armour, a hooded gentleman in chainmail, put all human lives after those of monsters? What other creatures would they seek to bring into people’s home city?
The carnage that a werewolf could have spread within the city if it had shaken loose is simply chilling, to willingly place a city in such jeopardy is surely tantamount to treason?

I am Maia Nanethiel, and this is my testimony upon this situation.
I was part of a group huddled around a campfire when a wolf's howl was heard near the Viridale Border Camp. Some of us went to investigate and we found a young human woman named Dierdre whom made her way up the slope to the camp.
After inquiring about her welfare, the woman collapsed with a whispered plea of "Kill me" before she lost consciousness. Understandably, it was nothing most of the assembled would do without proper reason or justifications given, so we tried to see what had befallen her.
In my case, I noted that the smell of raw meat coming from her mouth, her unkempt condition and suspected with the conspicuous wolf howls we had heard before that she might have had been a recently afflicted werewolf whom was coming close to changing. I figured her plea for help - to be killed - was so that she would avoid being turned into a werewolf and would not visit harm to any others in her bloodlust.
The Legion Clinicus whom came by diagnosed her, dismissed my suspicions and merely roused her back to wakefulness with a bucketful of water before considering the matter done and over with. We tried to question Dierdre as to the reason why she wanted to be killed... but she was not exactly forthcoming with her answers, replying with pleas of "you must!" before suddenly grasping her midriff and bolting at a run towards the Viridale.
Our group tracked her into the forest and found her once again, where she seemed distraught and tormented. Again appealing for her to calm down and explain so that we could actually try to help her... our attempt at getting to the bottom of this were thwarted as she ran away again.
Doggedly being on her trail, we eventually ran her into a dead end and demanded that she stop fleeing and justify her need to be killed so we could help her (all the rushing into the woods put us seriously at risk from the Viridale forest's wilder beasts). She in turn shrieked and eventually twisted - transforming as nightfall fell into what I had feared - a werewolf.
I swiftly incapacitated the transformed Dierdre with a slumber enchantment and after we fended off wild beasts, the two Red Blades took that opportunity to tie her up in the hopes that she could yet be saved from her affliction if brought to a temple. Selunite priests, namely, are experts on freeing those afflicted from an enduring curse of lycanthropy and we were about to make our way back to the bordercamp with the subdued Dierdre-turned-werewolf when two members of our group caused a disturbance.
The one that stood out was a wizard named Arlock, whom had skulked around us invisibly while we went through the risk of trying to understand and subdue Dierdre, and once she had been incapacitated he demanded that the Red Blades move away so he could shoot her with his crossbow and finish her off.
The Red Blades ordered Arlock and his other sympathizer to stand down, signifying their intention to bring Dierdre back to their Temple so they could see if she could be treated and if so, give her what she needed to be saved. The wizard Arlock did not heed their words and instead resorted to vigilantism, summoning a dire wolf to plow through the red blades and get to the she-werewolf. One of the Red Blades turned to defend himself from the dangerous beast and Arlock in turn raised his crossbow to shoot the Red Blade.
That devolved into a fight were the dire wolf was put down and the Red Blade confronted Arlock, whom kept shooting and did not heed orders to stand down. Arlock was skewered and left on the ground, where I bandaged his wounds to make sure that he would not die (it did not escape me that werewolves are usually dangerous creatures - he did not deserve to die in my mind for his misguided efforts to kill what was in the minds of most a 'monster').
On our way back, with Dierdre carried and tied up, we were confronted by a dire bear and defended ourselves from the beast. While we were distracted, Arlock somehow managed back on his feet and cast spells to slay the Werewolf Dierdre while she was obviously incapacitated and under control. With her slain and our efforts to keep her alive to bring her back to the Temple of Red Knight to see if something could be done to save her all for naught, we were mightily displeased. The two Red Blades turned on Arlock and announced their intent to arrest him for insubordination of lawful authority, assault of Sundarian law-officials and warned that his contributions in spoiling any chances to save Dierdre's life would be held into account.
The wizard, in turn, dismissed them and was to ignore his arrest and walk away. When forceful measures were about to be taken to assure his arrest, the man used invisibility magic to escape.
Arlock was found again by one of the campfire in the Viridale Border Camp and was escorted to the Sundren City Watch where the case of his arrest was presented.
These are the issues I see with this situation, in summary:- Arlock disregarding the orders of two Red Blades.
- Arlock assaulting the two Red Blades when he tried to have his way regardless so he could kill the Dierdre-turned-werewolf.
- Arlock attempting to escape arrest and in turn trying to apply infamy on law-officials, implying they had tried to shirk their duty to protect Sundren by protecting a monster and that they should be punished for it.
- Arlock working to ruining any possibility that Dierdre might have been saved, despite her condition. She was obviously under control and subdued when he attacked to finish her off - mostly out of spite and again wanting to have his way. It is true that most werewolves encountered in the wilds would not have similar courtesy, but this woman came to us and begged us to put an end to the danger she posed. That effort was quite laudable on her part - she did not allow herself to simply surrender to that affliction - and I cannot help but believe that if we could have had done more, we should have tried before resorting to killing her if nothing else could've been done about it.
Morality aside, this Arlock (and in a more limited fashion his companion 'Karsten') held himself above officials of the Red Blades and tried to circumvent their authority. The matter of Dierdre possibly being saved or not is irrelevant to him stooping to vigilantism and disregarding the authority of the Red Blades - he simply held himself above the law all along this situation leading to and including his arrest. As for Dierdre herself, the threat she posed was under control and if measures could have had been found to save this citizen of Sundren, they would have had been explored before resorting to the last resort - killing her. She is dead now and it is what she wanted; though admittedly more might have been done to save her.Maia Nanethiel ~ Moon Elf Female Ranger

Raven Reyner reporting
Sirs, City Watch, Legion and my brothers Red Blades. I come to inform of a crime comited by a mage named Arlock.
At first instance, we a woman came to us by the camp in the viridale border asking for us to kill her. Not understanding well the sittuation, we tried to talk, but she, not willing to , fled into the woods.
After that, we searched for her and found she screaming in pain, her skin and expression changing.
At first I too, tought that we had to kill that monster, but we managed to get it unconscient and well tied up.
Then the accused came from nowhere pointing his crossbow to the already defeated and tied woman. We tried to argue that we were going to take her to the temple, to try and restore her sanity and purgue her curse, but then he shot even with Sister Sarah on the way !!! I repeat, he shot a Red Blade !! Not happy, he summoned a dire wolf to attack me, and I rettaliated, knocking him unconscient. After that, Iwe tried to carry the once-woman to the temple, but unhappily a dire bear got in the way. While we were fighting the beast, the acused shot a spell on the woman-creature, killing her instantly. After that he walked away, not listening to none of our recomendations for him to acompany us to the watch.
this concludes my report.Characters:

The report given to Rayner in the constables office:

<<<Translation>>>
Report on werewolf incident as witnessed by Tarangil Dennenshire;
Earlier in the afternoon at the Border camp, a couple of companions I was with had overheard the unusual wolf sounds. Upon investigating the matter we had come across a frightened young woman who was visibly distraught, and had fallen unconscious shortly after we came upon her, with the most unusual request of imploring us to take her life.
By then other passerby's had stopped to witness the event, and it was my companion Maia who had discerned the woman was most likley afflicted with Lycanthropy. I am not too familiar on the subject... (((A bad Knowledge roll saw to that)))... and so was inclined to know more about the womans sickness before making any irrational action, which at the moment was being voiced by various onlookers. During said discussion with the Legion Clinicus on the scene, the woman had come to and had bolted back into the woods.
We had tracked and eventually cornered her within the ravine near the river, where she was pleading for privacy. By that time, the heated discussion continued, primarily between the red cloak named Sarah, Arlock, and a couple other fellows whom I did not get their names. Unfortunately the debate lasted until the sun had set and we were soon defending ourselves against the young woman who had shapechanged into a wolf! Other denizens had come upon us at the same time, and differences were set aside long enough to defend ourselves, and in the end Deirdre was subdued and bound. It was then the Arlock fellow had taken it upon himself that she should be slain, regardless of any other comment on the matter, and had summoned a Celestial Canus of the Lupus species. He then had threatened to use the large wolf to plow through those shielding the bound woman with their bodies. Things happened fast enough where someone had attacked the wolf and in the ensuing melee Arlock was struck down.
It wasn't until after when Dierdre was being returned did we get into a rough encounter with an oversized ursalid did Arlock come out of hiding on a hilltop and had shot the bound woman with a series of magic missles before fleeing under the cloak of invisibility.
He was tracked down sometime after, and was forced to relinquish his weapons which was given to me, and had later left in the constables office with Raynor and Sarah. Like Maia, I agree that Arlocks motives were self justified without heed of the communal decision from the rest of the groups concensus.
