Dear Master Pentec,

I write to you to ask if you have any Kings Tears. I understand that you do not sell them, but the Enchanters Cooperative is interested in acquiring one for the enchantment of a cloak, I'm sure you understand the type that I mean.

If you happen to need any gems, we would be willing to exchange for a Kings Tear. If, however, you would like a cloak like this for yourself, and have 2 Tears, then perhaps we can discuss a trade for the pair, one for a cloak for you and one for us to keep, in exchange for another gem you may have as well, perhaps a star saphire, emerald or diamond.

*Master Pentec receives the letter after one of the clerics informed him that it came while he was away. After reading the offer he appears to be appraising his options. He ponders if the woman enchantress had meant to reference a Cloak, or the Robe that he had been desiring to acquire which was of no small power and required the same rare gem.*

He sends a note to the Barracks of the Triumvirate where he believes they reside.

I believe such an arrangement could be seen as beneficial for both involved. Tho I would like to inquire as to the task you are set to perform to clarify.. You seek to create a cloak of great spell resistance correct? If this is the case then I find at present I do not require such a thing, tho a robe constructed using the same gem would be of great use to myself, should you be possessed of the skills to create such, then I would willingly enter this arrangement where in you would recieve two kings tears one for your own uses, and one to create the magical robes of an archmage for myself. In addition to this I would ask for the inclusion of a diamond in our barter.

Dear Master Pentec,

Unfortunately, the recipe in question seems to have been scribed incorrectly, or the power of the spell is to great for the creation of a Cloak. We experimented with said recipe and were unable to create anything, all the reagents disappeared. Obviously the power of Kings Tears may be to much for mundane items to keep. Thank you for your time though, perhaps in the future we can work something else out.
