  • Official Report to the Sundren Legion

    Dear sirs,

Chaplain Ambrose McMannis reporting an incident which occurred on (September 11). While patrolling the lands west of the Viridale outpost, myself and close friends of mine witnessed a black haired woman with a skeleton in tow. We followed her for some time before confronting her and insisting she destroy the creature (Let it be known that I was going to file this report regardless of her co-operation).

To my knowledge, that is all I can recall, personally, as I awoke some time later in the temple.

Any other information I can provide will be given as soon as I can. Thank you.

    Brother Ambrose McMannis,
    Private
    Chaplain
    Legionnaire.

(((Edited for accuracy, there were apparently no survivors.... Though I disagree. )))

    Incident in Viridian Forest

Incident in the Viridan forest: Half-orc caravan moving weapons and armor.

    Location: Near the Mossclaw Village

Quantity: Around twenty with at least three human wizards for support.

Assistance: Cybil Gelley, Nocte, Vaticus Gakur, Gloirin Ironforge from the Skullcrusher Clan, and a druid woman by the name of Moss Wood, who aided in the assault of the caravan. Two fell in combat, Moss and Vaticus, though they were later revived.

We recovered weapons and armor from the wagons and await orders.

    Thank you.

    Brother Ambrose McMannis,
    Servant of Ilmater
    Legionnaire
    Chaplain

(( If they used subdual, there are survivors. Otherwise, depending on how long the incident took to unravel, you might remember nothing. I'll wait to answer the first report. ))

*hearing the second report, your superior nods and responds*
Did you look for Anderson Act papers? No doubt these brutes attacked you first... *he nods affirming that even before you answer--perhaps offering a good excuse up to cover you just in case*

(( More details to follow when the paper is redeemed. ))

((hope you don't mind me adding to this thread, but I was going to start something like this for all Legionnaire official though not classified reports. No sense competing for space with a fellow Legionnaire *grin*. I will omit "classified" names and material and put them in our private Legion forum ))

Submitted in whatever proper format is required and submitted to immediate chain-of-command...

        "Monthly" Status Report: Elijah

        Summary of Action:
        1) One half-orc registered for Anderson Act. Subject was friendly and cooperative. Oversight cited. Witnesses and participants: Nott and ((what was the female paladin's name again??))
        2) One unknown half-orc fled when asked for his papers in Sestra. He ran into the Sestra caves and when we gave chase, he was no where to be found and his tracks just stopped. Teleportation suspected or capture by Lizardmen. Invisibility not a possibility. Dragon Sight was used. Other witnesses: Rellik and Legionnaire Maximillian
        3) One fey discovered creating a fecal golem in Crossroad fields. Golem destroyed. Fey then summoned demons and devils in sequential order. All summons grew hostile and were destroyed including one Balor. Fey claimed that all were summoned to fertilize the fields. In the heat of the battles, the fey disappeared or was killed. Witnesses and participants include but not confined to Osclow, Cybil, Cirion, Lauan, Zack, Vannie, and Nocte.
        4) Two drow killed (One male and one female) in Aquor mountains. Proof of their slaying already submitted. Other witnesses: None.
        5) Three informants contacted and obtained. Handler information detailed in classified folder ((will post this in Legion forums))
        6) Daily patrols performed. Areas include: Sundren proper, Exigo Trade post, Sharahan Hills, Gate of the Sunderer, Sestra, and Aquor.

        Continuing Action:
        1) Bring in suspected Banites on classified list for questioning.
        2) Retrieve stolen Anderson Papers listing. Identify and capture thieves.
        3) Identify source of Plane Rifts. Isolate or destroy any hostiles that emerge from it.

        Respectfully Submitted,
        Elijah

((DM's. Please propose "proper" format if you want it to look a certain way and if any of the continuing actions are story threads that are still "active". Just PM me and I'll edit.))

(((In response to the first report, yes. OOC of course, 2 attacked, one used subdual the other did not. two out of four of us died, the other two regained consciousness and fled. You might want to ask Julia or Nott or even Aeon (the unknown woman in question) about her intent with the subdual damage. I'm not sure how to proceed without a DM's judgement call. I would also like to note that hostile toggling was not set for everyone. I had no intention to attack, but they struck first, failing to switch at least myself to hostile)))

*the old man strides into the legion HQ once again with a verbal report to the captain*

              Captain, *salute*

After further investigation on the topic of the assault by the dark haired woman with the skeleton, it has been discovered that her name is indeed Lady Aeon Darkhope. Based on her abilities and armaments it is suspected that she is a blackguard devout of Bane. What are your orders regarding this most grave of matters?

              *waits for further orders*

((all info was gained IC of course))

Grave? Skeleton? What is that, some kind of joke, private?!

Good work old man, but let's not jump to that conclusion yet. There's lots of black art practitioners out there, and they don't all lick Bane's boots. How'd you come by her name? You sure that's it, or did she make it up?

*sighs in exasperation* Even my own commander doesn't believe me.

"With all due respect sir, that is the name I was given. If it is wrong, then it's wrong. Would it hurt so much to bring her in for questioning on the off chance that I'm right? Furthermore, would it hurt to see if she's on the list of legal bane worshippers under that Anderson act or whatever?

Regardless of my being right and wrong, it would not be prudent to simply ignore the information due to your mistrust of my sources, sir."

With that sad, the disgruntled private salutes again, finalizing his statement. "Am I dismissed, captain?"

You better watch your tone. I don't care how many years service you have elsewhere. In Sundren, you speak with respect, or I'll have you flogged for insubordination!

And it ain't distrust, private. It's care. When we question this person, and we WILL question her, we need to know everything. That includes where and how you got your intel. Got it?

Now, unless you want to be tendin' the city gardens, I suggest you go out there and bring this girl in for questioning. Banite or not, bringing the dead back in servitude is a crime.

                    NOW you're dismissed!

                      Returning a day later for another report he salutes the captain yet again;

                      "Sir, field report.

I haven't been able to locate miss Darkhope yet, but I have found the cure for the rampant disease in the city and have also created enough of it to cure the vast majority of the populace. Individual sparse cases will be handled personally. We also captured the culprit who caused the diseases originally, a talona priestess named Kerrigan. She's being held in the prison currently, under arrest for both the epidemic and not having her registration papers.

On a related note, sir. I had a long talk with the tiefling who referrs to himself as Zack. Just Zack. He's admitted freely to being a witness to Miss Darkhope's crimes but refuses to speak about it for fear of banite vengeance. In his words.

I need not remind you sir, that this would be considered a blatant obstruction of justice and he should be questioned as well, and properly. I have means I'd like to attempt if he refuses to speak."

He pauses a moment, letting the information sink in. "That is all, sir" Salutes again.
