  • A letter of complaint to the Exigo Trading Syndicate

    *scrawled almost neatly*

    Dear Exigo Trading Syndicate,

I want to file a complaint against one of your "licensed" Vendors, by the name of Veront. He was attempting to steal from me, partially witnessed by several other people. I yelled for the guards, several times, but none came to my aid.

Please make sure this man doesn't do such things again. I know he's stolen in the past even if nobody seems to care to try and prove it. His behavior and manners put your organization in a bad light, I might add.

    Sincerely,
    Annie Hanssen
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
    Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

A customer service representative reads the letter. Having no way to contact Annie, he gives a frustrated sigh and disappears into the trading house to investigate the matter, or not.

***Left tacked to the door of the Exigo Factory in Sundren late one night.***

      To Whom it may concern,
Recently one of your vendors, who I later identified as Veront, approached me in your Exigo trade grounds near the campfire for adventurers.
He was openly hostile to me because I had refused to purchase his wares in the wilderness where, as he put it, "there is no taxes or commissions to pay on them".
He actually demanded that I disrobe in public in the middle of your trading grounds and when I refused, he moved to attack me. I tried to defend myself, but I am no warrior, only a messenger. He easily put me to the ground, knocking me out. There were guards and other adventurers present that can verify this.
I was very lucky to regain consiousness when I did, for I made a hasty escape before he could try to take my clothes off.
I am very frightened to return to your establishment and have since been purchasing my supplies from small time vendors who aren't affiliated with the syndicate in the outlying towns.
I would like to return to your fine places of buisness and spend my coin, but cannot see doing so, when such a risk is present.

      Thank you for your time,

Abel, Seneschal, Room 8, Four Lanterns Inn.

The second letter eventually makes its way to the customer service department. They review the complaint, but can't help but wonder why these complaints are surfacing only now. The decide to investigate more before making a decision.

**The next night another letter is tacked to the door of the exigo factory.**

          Dear Sirs,
My name is Jerard, and I live in Mirakus Post. I was visiting your nice trading post with my monthly salary, to buy supplies when a man who called himself Veront, held me up at knife point and took all my money. I'm not sure what I am going to do to feed my family. Please help me.
          Thank you, Jerard

**At the trade post a letter is left on a counter near the merchants adressed to Captain Tidestrike**

Good day to you Captain Tidestrike.
I would like to remain anonymous, but suffice to say I am a member in good standing of the Sundren Legionaires. It is my duty to bring to your attention, one Veront, a merchant of your syndicate who deals out of the Trading Post. Recently my platoon was given leave and we thought to spend our money at your fine establishment. One of my friends was sold what was described as "liquid pleasure". My friend went into convulsions from it, and while we were ttrying to get him healed, Veront took his coin purse, claiming it was to pay for the medical insurance. He ran off beofre we could stop him, and we were to busy getting my friend help to chase him.
Neither I nor any of my platoon will ever visit that place again. I am going to instruct as many of the legionaires of Sundren to avoid the syndicate, until something is done about the common thieves and cut purses that have set up shop there claiming to be working for you.

          Thank you and good day.
