(The following letter is written in poor hand writing and quite a few spelling mistakes.
There are several words crossed out and rewritten as well. It is written in list form.)
Kildo's progression.
1. He has demonstrated his loyalty in the form of battle, delivering us the remains and
reward of the goblin cheif, though we returned it to show him how kind we can be.
2.We sparred, shortly after. He needs lots of improvement in the use of a longsword, but
he did better than I thought he would. he was able to strike me a couple of times,
though it did end with him bloodied on the floor.
3.Then we really tried his loyalty, and his ability to bring pain on another without emotion.
He did not handle it too well, but seeing as how the punishment fit the mans crimes fit the punishment.
He has some regrets, but I think we should get rid of them quickly, and reassure him thet
he is making the right choice.
4.I took Taja and Kildo into the corn field at the Exigo trading ground to practise his spell craft.
He did rather poorly on this, leading him to an outburst. He claimed he could not read as well,
so this might be a big part of his ability to not discern spells. This was also the time of the incedent with
the tiefling.
5.Kildo will be tested in spellcraft again, as his first attempt was less than bad.
It will bear bigger consequences if he does not discern the spell in time, for there will
be 5 enchanted disks of different types of elemental sheilding. He will have them set on
a table in front of him, and when Taja casts the spells to him, he will grab the correct one,
or suffer the spell.
6.While we train him, we should build his confidence, his presence, and his lyalty to us, so he does not defect
like I am afraid he will. If anything, we will show him the enclave, the knights, the power and
promise him similar things in return for his loyalty. His combat prowess will be worked
on too, fighting goblins, orcs, gnolls and the like. I will watch his progression carefully.
