  • Outside the Avanthyr Gates

Many come and go through this city, for various needs. Ale, pleasure, weapons... lively is a good word to describe it. You enter today to find everything normal. The hammering sounds, clinking of metal, and commoners walking alike...however, much to your delight, you find a piece of parchment on the wall, near the gate. It has great penmanship, and is very keen and straight. No crumbles or wrinkles. What makes it stand out is the text is glowing faintly blue, with dots of shiny, almost fresh blood scattered across it. It reads,

''You have no doubt seen this letter in captivation, to those who read, my name is Scarlett. I wrote this to address anyone who is looking for a full plate of armor, a magic scythe or battle axe. On my travels, I have come across such items and wish to sell them for the greater good. If you read this, it is likely that you will find me somewhere close by. The items are nice in quality, especially the two weapons. Evil is spreading among the land...we can negotiate a fair price that's within reason...*the rest is smeared in blood, unreadable*

    Sincerely,

    Scarlett''

Next to it is a note written in elegant script:

If scrolls of arcane power are found in your travels do not sell them to the dwarven smith who knows nothing of the value of such things and will offer you pittance for them; seek out Corwyn Eskalas and he will gladly offer you a more favorable deal.

As well, I seek a blade of worth, a longsword, for myself; if you have such a weapon I will compensate you fairly for it, again much more than the smith would pay.

PC - Corwin Eska'las (Sun Elf pursuing the dream of becoming a Bladesinger)

Alt PC - Brevin Smoothands (meticulously groomed half orc bard swashbuckler... sort of... sings great, less fighting)

Having been updated, the parchment has more at the bottom. It's visible due to the glowing, readable text. It states,

''To update this, I must say that everything but the full plate of armor has been traded or otherwise disposed of. This axe, which increases ones agility and damage, is now up for sale in the absence of the other items. To any who is interested, please contact me if you see me. The weapons must be used for what is right....

      Scarlett, Banisher of the Damned''

The letter has been ripped off of the wall, in a careful way as to not leave any remains. A faint blue glow still shows up on the wall for a few hours before disappearing completely.

A new note has gone up. The Text is blue, it's placed alongside the taverns and near the city wall, implying that Ashley Pauline wrote it, and hastily put it up in a hurry. Very Strange.

''These items are purely magical....their quality is very high. Across my adventuring, I have found them, but they are little use to me. Those who want to fight with fury and power should look at them. The first item I've come across is a splendid mace that channels magic energy as well as improves the senses of it's wearer, allowing you to see farther and hear greater. The second, while only a enhanced crossbow with a refined bowstring, is also magical.

          Alongside those, a few arcane scrolls of great power have come into my possession...they are as follows;

          Bigby's Forceful Hand.
          Delayed Blast Fireball.

We can negotiate prices. I'm not going to charge a lot of gold, but enough to earn me something in return. Seek me out, should you need these wondrous items. Thank you...

          Ashley Pauline, De''

The rest of the scroll is ripped off at the bottom, it appears to have been intentionally.
