Several dozen copies of a letter go out with the morning tide on a ship bound for Waterdeep, each addressed to a famed artificer of some sort. Several copies are also posted at the library in Sundren.
"Dearest Sir/Madam,
My name is Sardo Numspa, minor artificer and wizard. I am currently in a situation from which I can not myself find a solution to. Recently I had the infortuity to have my right foot removed in an accident. The temples here in Sundren have been unable to help; whether through incompetence or some foul curse I do not know.
What I propose is to replace the foot with a prostetic limb of magical creation. It need not have any special enchantments, only that it function as a normal foot and allow me the balance and sensory tactility of again a normal foot. It also must resist degridation and decay. I have included drawings of the exact dimensions for you to work with.
If you wish to contract for the undertaking of this project, I can be contacted through the Library of Sundren. Address correspondance through the Master Librarian and attention Sardo Numspa. Payment shall be generous. I will consider all replies and choose the one that best fits my needs."
