I hope this letter finds you well and in good health. I know you are very busy. I do hate to ask for even a small amount of your time. But, the truth is that I find myself in need of your guidance and wisdom. I have spoken with one of the favored of the Great Mother on the state of the Land here in the Valley. He will not come to Sestra, he fears he will not be allowed to leave. So I have come in his stead, along with my friend Dalian, in the hope that you will hear his words through me. I naturally have my own fears about the damage to the land. And while I am not one of the Tutha, or people of the wood, my desire to help heal the damage to Sundren is strong and passionate.

I will be in Sestra for another few days before I must leave. I have already risked much spending even the small time I have here. If you cannot see me in person, perhaps you will agree to a correspondence. Thank you for all that you do for the people and I pray you will consider my request.

I have spoken with the favored of the Great Mother. He, along with a few others would like to meet in Aquor at the Temple of the Lady of Love. I will come to escort you and whoever you desire to bring with you to the Temple soon. At your request, I spoke to the Lord Marshal. He says that he has no objections to you leaving Sestra as long as you remember the Shrines contract with him. He didn't explain what this entailed, he simply said that you would know. I know you are very busy but I pray your spirits are lighten a little by this news. We are all looking forward to your company and hope that you are as excited as we are about the up coming gathering.

I took the opportunity to read your missive. I am Paddy Thornbristle, an All Mother devote and cleric in her stead.

I remain in Sestra. The chapel with its familiar feel, stalls for the animals in our charge, and the smell of the All Mother's bounty feels my senses as I write this response.

I serve the land... no matter what man may control it. I fear the current occupants. Fear is good in their eyes. Nevertheless, I tend my flock as best I can and see to the land everyday.

The Lord Marshal has genuine concern for the people of Sestra. This is why, I opine, he has let me linger here and continue my service to Chauntea.

Do not bring war. If you come in peace and can helps these people... then I wish you the best.

I am so glad you were able to read my letter. I wish you had have been there the day I spoke to your sister in the Shrine. It would have been wonderful to have spoken to you in person. Perhaps that is something that can still happen, though, I am sure you understand why I, as a Heartwarder, do not come into Sestra often.

Your service to the people in Sestra is something that I find admirable. I do not know if I could do what you do. I am grateful and humbled everyday by the women like you, who continue to go on and inspire hope all across the Valley. I know you are tired and fearful that I bring only trouble and more pointless death with me. It is understandable that you doubt my intentions. But I want you to personally know that I didn’t come to make life harder for the Sisters of the Great Mother or the people of Sestra. I came to ask for guidance, seek answers for what troubles the land, and hope that what you have accomplished with the lands in Sestra, can be done for all of Sundren.

Paddy, the people of this land suffer. And not just in Sestra. My prayer and my hope is that you and your Sisters will look past the borders of Sestra, if only for a little while. Someone has to fix what was broken or there will never be a time of healing. Not for anyone.
