  • A letter left at the Temple of Sune

A gentleman slips out of the shadows and delivers a letter to a priestess at the Temple of Sune

    Lady Chime,

Thank for your willingness to aid the Triadics in our duties. I wish I could keep the young members from acting foolishly and putting themselves at risk of death or worse but you know as well anyone how thickheaded these knights are and the egos they get from wielding the power of their gods. All I can do to aid them making sure they are well equipped and ready them for what they are about to face. That being said we need three suites of shadow silk armor. The measurements are on the back of this letter.

If you would do me another favor and explain to that Andrew fellow that I really thought he sided with the Black Hand sense he if a former member of the left hand. There was no lie in your eyes when you informed me that he was not.

    Thank you,
    Pain Bearer Charoum

A letter is returned to the Church of the Triad and addressed to Brother Charoum.

    Pain Bringer,

Naturally, the Temple of the Lady of Love, will honor any request for assistance from the Church of the Triad, and her defenders, the Triumvirate, that we can reasonably accomplish. Of course, I will assist you and your warriors in obtaining the shadow silk clothing that you desire. Once I am able to fulfill your request I will have the clothing delivered to your Temple in Sundren City.

Also, while I appreciate your concerns about any relationship I might have with Andrew Swift. Perhaps in the future you will remember that a public blessing for an man who gave a priceless gift to many citizens of Aquor does not really constitute a romantic relationship. I know you are concerned for the safety of the Valley and Aquor. Though, I am not sure why who I am involved with is an object of concern. Before you jump to conclusions on this, let me say this again. Andrew Swift and I are not, "very good friends" or any other romantic euphuism you wish to use. Please believe that I do understand that you have only the best intentions but perhaps it would be best if you speak to Andrew yourself on the matter of his former position as a member of the Left Hand of Mundus, and his supposed affiliation with any shadowy group. Assumptions can be dangerous, if you have slighted him, I think he would respect an apology more if it came directly from you, instead of one issued through me. I pray that the Lady of Joy blesses you with the silver tongue of Her priestess, and the Lady of Love offers you the sweetness that lays at the heart of Her most devoted.

A young Triadic delivers a reply letter and leaves it with priestess at the front desk

      Heartwarder Chime,

It's Pain bearer not Pain bringer, Ilmateris bear the suffering for others but I can understand why you got that confused, those who frequent Aquor would refer to us as the previous.

Regarding for friend Andrew Swift, I have treated him with unkindness thinking he sided with the Black Hand, I even refused to aid the Temple of Selune because it would of been not wise to travel with him. I will apologize to him and try to make amends.

I was in fact concerned about you being involved with Andrew. My motive was to protect a friend and an ally which I do consider you as, just as you done for me warning me against Mialee Westen.

You know those who appose the Cult of Bane in this valley are far and few, I would like to try and gather a patrol here in the not too distant future, One that we the Triadics tried before, the Lathanderites had to come to our rescue. Perhaps with Dawnbringers, a few Triadics we can see it done. An Arch Mage such as yourself would help ensure a safe return.

In the service of ally faiths,
      Charoum

After Tyranus wrangles up his two kids he drops them off at the temple with a note for their Sune Heartwarder nanny and a bag full of coins. The note reading:

        Heya Chime!
Sorry for the short notice but I need ye to watch the kids for me again! I left them a bag full of coins, I don't really know how much it was I kinda just dived into me pockets and put in what I had, should be more n enough to keep em fed and for ye to buy them some nice cloths and whatever else ye are sposed to get for kids. It'd be great if ye can let them stay with ye till I get back from my treasure huntin trip. Make sure ye keep the girl always in sight away from the local boys and make sure the lad is doing his exorcises and practicing his sword arm good.

Well I hope they arn't to much trouble for ye and i'll be sure to find some cool treasure for all of ye and make sure to kiss the kids on the head each night for me! Thanks again Chime!

A thoroughly wet and disgruntled blond hands the the letter over to a waiting messenger distractedly. " Stone is to good for Tyranus '" she says to the somewhat shocked man. "No... I am goi...."

Her muttered threat suddenly breaking off mid sentence as she whirls and suddenly chases after two dirty children streaking past the door. " Not in the fountain!"

          Pain bearer,

My apologies for the mistake in your title. Please forgive me if I have caused offense in this matter. It was not my intention to slight you. As I have said before, I appreciate the work that you do for Sundren.

Charoum, you are misremembering our talks on Mailee. Perhaps this is intentional, perhaps not. I certainly don't know, and I am not going to argue on this matter with you. You have a talent for reconstructing conversations to suit the points you desire, and not exactly what was discussed. Again though, I thank you for expressing your concern and the concern of your order. I really do understand that you are only trying to help, your intent here is appreciated.

Your plans for a patrol are interesting, though I am not sure where you got the idea I was an Arch Mage. Those are powerful words and to my knowledge, I have never even been granted the title of magus. Perhaps you should check your sources. Never the less, should you require assistance, I will freely give what I can.

          Heartwarder Chime.
