A Letter to Sestra

Written in a neat, if not plain text is delivered a letter; plainly marked with a wax seal depicting Torm's gauntlet. The content of the letter is short and to the point, as not to waste time in the case of the front gate guards not bothering to pass it along.

Return her body, that we might send her home to her family to be mourned.

This is not a demand or threat, take it as you will.

*Commander Magnus takes receipt of the letter and immediately seeks to deliver it to his mentor, Ancient Landristin*

"Make way Lads!" The hin is heard shouting to his troops.

*reads the letter then looks to Magnus*

Let me pen a reply. Can you deliver this back to whomever delivered the note, brother?

Unfortunately, concerned Crusader, her body has been dealt with according to the rule of law of Sestra. It is not being tortured, corrupted, or paraded. It is unfortunate to note, that the body is destroyed, and it's ashes spread to the sea. Please accept our condolences. Accept peace that we have not reanimated her to our use, and instead put her body far beyond both our grasps.

May your prayers find their place for her. The Tyrant Lord makes no use of her. This is quite literally, the most fortunate outcome for such crimes.

*wraps the parchment up and hands it to Magnus with no sign, signature, or seal, to be delivered*

Wax and a seal... at a minimum would be appropriate. Otherwise anyone could have written the note. I will have someone come and collect it to deliver the letter.

[Once the letter is sent and received...]


A tired and worn woman entered her ramshackle, but cozy room on a particular evening... her armor unfastened from her body and she pulled the more comfortable robes she had once adventured in over her form to settle in for the night. The black of the room did little to impede her movements about the unlit dwelling, so to did she find her way to the makeshift desk astride her mirror.

A wave of her hand, a whispered word and the candles lit. Then quietly, she reached into her pocket and pulled forth a sealed letter, her thumb flicked and broke the wax seal binding it, and the parchment unraveled.

Her expression remained placid, taking each words measure in stride before she arrived at the final verse, the last word, a nail in the proverbial coffin. The letter burst into a flurry of crimson tongues, licking the message clean into ash, and the crusader of little standing's arms fell to her sides...

... No reply is forthcoming.

Eventually, another letter would arrive in Sestra, this time addressed to Marshal Datton, baring the same seal sent in a former letter regarding Kindra.
