Miss Chime,

Thank you for being so forthright with me about your efforts. Lord Ashby will certainly see what he deserves, one way or another. No villain such as that should walk freely, let alone threaten you as he has done.

I must confess - I am wracked with guilt since our last discussion. I have not been completely forthright myself. As you have trusted in me, I can not in good conscious hide my own plans and intentions.

I look forward to another discussion in the near future for fuller disclosure.

One day, I hope we can simply have a drink and speak of simpler, happier times. Until then, we must mold those times ahead with our own hands.

It may not be appropriate for me to contact you on this matter, but ... I am at a loss as to what to do. My brother, Tirones Bartleby Loren, has not shown up for his duty shfits for the last two nights. This is entirely out of character for him. I'm getting really worried, and I'm not sure who else I can turn to on this...

If you've seen him recently, please let me know. I'm currently stationed at the Gate.
