A neatly sealed envelope bearing the Van Hellstrom family seal is delivered to the Zakharan encampment outside of Port Avanthyr. The letter inside is written in a firm, flowing script upon fine vellum.

To the Emissary Cali-Ganesh of the Zakharan Fleet,

I hope this message finds you in sound health and easy spirits, and that your stay upon Sundren soil so far has been both pleasant and beneficial. I am writing in hopes of arranging a brief visit, as it is my desire to personally and formally thank you for the aid that you rendered unto myself and those with me. If this is agreeable with you, I would dearly like to bring along my chronicler, an elf by the name of Thresh Starweaver. She is one of very scholarly pursuits, and has expressed extreme interest in being able to learn and understand what she can of what is, you must understand, so foreign a culture for us here in the far north.

Should this be agreeable with you, Emissary, please send word to Castle Hellstrom with acceptable times that you are willing to receive visitors.

A letter is finally returned, written in flowing and precise script.

"Lady van Hellstrom,

Fates bless you for your kind wishes, and know they are returned wholeheartedly. Your people have been nothing but accommodating in these trying times, and we are forever grateful for the hospitality shown to us at every turn.

We would be pleased more than words can express to meet you at your home, and exchange conversation at your convenience. We shall visit this next week, if you are amenable.

To Emissary Cali-Ganesh,

My heart is warmed, knowing that your reception here in this land is so well received, and that you and your men are both healthy and content. It is my understanding as well that We have greater reason to be thankful for your presence within Our valley, as you have aided in repelling an attack by the dreadful Bloodmaim. These beasts have ever been a thorn in Sundren's side, and have cost us much in land, and blood of brave warriors.

I have conferred with Lord Byrun van Hellstrom, and we would be delighted host you and your retainers this coming week, at a time of your choosing. Sharing a meal and conversation is but a small gesture of gratitude for you, who is deserving of so much more. Please do not hesitate to let us know when an amenable time for you is, and we will insure that our schedule is free, and you are welcomed into our home.

Once the letter was sealed and delivered, she would then begin the mad rush of trying to see if it were even possible to locate the Amnish delicacies that no proper southern hostess would dream of entertaining without. The likelihood was slim, but even a tiny jar of olives and one pot of Maztican coffee would be worth it's weight in gold to her.
