  • Assualt at the Second Wind Inn

A Signed letter is left at the Barracks to the watch commander at the Legion Barracks.

    "10th Legion Command.

Commander, upon reaching the location Second Wind Inn for my patrol through the hills I spotted a couple of shady figures off in the grass and approached them. They looked as if they were ruffians making some dealings under the tree away from the rest of occupants of the fire that evening so I investigated it. I approached the pair and they quickly hushed and asked me why I was approached them. I immediately took those responses as suspicious enough for me to act and told them they wouldn't get away with whatever they were doing.

I then heard a woman over my shoulder say she was about to vent her anger and kill me multiple times, as her voice was directed in my direction. One of the individuals I approached then called for Chime, who I later learned was a Immunes in our Legion, she approached in normal attire bearing no sigiles of the legion I assumed she was an associate with the shady woman. I thought they were attempting to distract me to slip away so I kept my attention on the two by the tree while the woman walked up and the one behind me further threatened me.

Outnumbered, I called upon the aid of a Paladin of the Triumvirate who bore the sigil of Ilmater. He refused to give aid and said his only enemies were the forces of the Black Hand. The last thing I heard before I fell under a spell was that I was a possible imposter. When I came to from the effects of whatever spell was cast on me a fellow Legionnaire approached and saved me from the group that assaulted me. As Tirones Baeleth and I were leaving to the Barracks I was shot with arrows, striking my legs, as we were leaving and Tirones had to shoulder me back to the Barracks to escape from further attacks.

Either Immunes Chime was able to stop them from further attacking me or they feared a reprisal attack from our patrols surrounding the gate, I was lucky to get away. The legionnaire did later tell me as he helped carry me back to the barracks that she was nobility. I must apologize now of the coming trouble but know that I did not assault her, nor did I know before that she was nobility as she did not openly state so.

    Signed, Tirones Murphy
