A letter in an envelope made of leaves finds its way to Tyler

It is with deep regret that I write this letter. I am sorry to say that I must resign my posting. Nature is my home and it calls to me with a need for help. I must answer this call and cannot if I have other duties. I thought I would be able to make it work out and was wrong. I am not sorry for my choice but I am sorry for breaking my commitment.

Tyler receives the letter from the Legion courier in charge of delivering dispatch. The sight of the envelop makes him raise an eyebrow, but he opens it nonetheless. After reading over it quickly he lets out a soft sigh, his gauntlet-clad hand running along the wooden desk for a moment before balling into a fist and pounding against it softly.

"Damn it."

He pulls out a letter, and takes a seat to pen-up a response.

It is with regret that I receive this letter of your resignation, and it is perhaps even worse that you felt the need to do so in a letter than in person. You are not the first person to decide that the life of a soldier is not for you, and you won't be the last. I can understand that, even as the soldier in me wishes that everyone capable of serving would. You are hereby relieved of service, effective immediately, and no longer have the rights or benefits befitting a member of the Sundren Legion. You will not be recognized as a State Veteran, as you did not serve for one hundred and eighty consecutive days on active duty and are therefore not allowed benefits as such.

On a personal level, I hope you find your place in the Valley - even if it is not with us. Godspeed, Breezy.
