  • Letter for Sandro

A very formally-penned letter, stamped and sealed in wax, is left with the Enclave "receptionist."
    To High Arcanist Sandro:

Please let me begin by begging for forgiveness if I have misquoted your proper title. No one should be stripped of their well-earned recognitions, least of all someone as powerful as you.

I write to you regarding your recent efforts to bolster trade and traffic in the valley town of Aquor. I have a proposition for you, which I hope you find to your liking.

We have been introduced before, but never formally. I am Maverick Bell, collector, historian, and a friend of James Frazier. I witnessed your power first-hand in your testing with this man; all the more reason I ask for your help, which I believe will be to our mutual benefit.

I am seeking a location to display parts of my collection as public exhibits. Articles in the collection might include art work, historical artifacts, military uniforms, documents, or anything else which may tell the story of Sundren's people. My aims for the first exhibit are as-of-yet undefined - all the more reason we may wish to speak.

It strikes me that Aquor has some abandoned real estate since the unfortunate occupation by the Aurilites. If it is within your will and reach, I request that one of these buildings be made available for my use. Aquor is an ideal location for a new museum, where I can showcase exhibits free of undue political influences.

This proposition carries its own benefit for you and the illustrious Enclave. I assure you, the more learned people of Sundren will come to such exhibits; with education comes money and trade. Additionally, you would have first-hand views of the exhibits. We can work collectively to refine them and cast them in a proper light. Museums are for the public, but they can be made into tools for the right mind who sees the opporutnity there.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am sure we will meet each other shortly near the Second Wind. I am more than happy to discuss further details in private.

    Sincerely:

    Maverick Bell

A letter is penned on fine red parchment in golden ink.

    Master Bell,

I find your proposal very agreeable and exciting. We are striving to see Aquor become a shining beacon of trade, culture, and higher intellect. Where others might try to entice business with cheap wares or brothels, we intend for this city to cater to only the finest of the valley. I suspect we can find you a space that is wholly sufficient for your needs, as well as provide security and perhaps even fund some expeditions. I would appreciate it if we could also put together a small exhibit highlighting the might and wonder of Thay, that we might dispel some of the horrible misconceptions held by the uneducated and simple people that constantly spew lies and slander at us. The matter of initial cost and upkeep can be discussed in person, though I assure you it will be quite fair. As you did not leave instructions on where you can be found, I have ordered the carrier of this letter to wait at the Second Wind until he finds you. He will await your response if you have any, otherwise I am often found in Aquor these days dedicating myself to its revitalization. I look forward to doing business with you.
