In response to your letter concerning our recently opened Architectural Competition
First, let me apologize for not approaching you about this matter first, I hope you understand that since our removal to Mirakus Post things have been rather busy and oft confusing. It seems the clerk responsible for briefing you on the matter has neglected his duty, as soon as he is found once more he will be suitably disciplined.
As for the matter in hand, it is the chaos amid Mirakus that has forced our hand, while the decision to pull our forces out of the Trading post was a wise one indeed our facilities at Mirakus were never designed to accommodate so much of our workforce. The added complications of working within Sundren City also weigh heavily on us as many souls within Cheapside are under the impression that it is our magics and labours that have caused issues in the city of late. This worry has no spread to some of our staff who fear that unrestrained R&D or simple magics within the city could have catastrophic consequences of the plummeting kind.
Faced with this it is imperative that ExiCorp expand and redevelop its facilities, to survive we must be the best we can be. To survive we must also be secure.
This is where you come in Lord Hellstrom, Blackwood provides the majority of our security forces, the work that your soldiers do day in, day out means that the produce and the money can keep flowing ensure we all have bread on our tables and clothes in our closets. Your expertise will be invaluable during this redevelopment phase, we will need you to cast your critical eye over any architectural submissions to ensure that they are safe from a military viewpoint, any and all advice you can give to our would be designers is appreciated.
During the construction work itself we will also require your diligence, we will of course follow the clauses in our existing contracts to increase security around Mirakus while building work takes place. We do not, as it were, wish to be caught with our pants around our ankles.
Their is another matter we should discus, though I feel it may be better to have this conversation in person. Suffice to say their are many opportunities to be had for the enterprising and as war consumes this country we should not, perhaps, turn a blind eye to expanding into one of our own making.
