Dear high-officer-in-the-Legion,
I am not one to quickly write, for which there are multiple reasons. Above all the reason is that I'm aware we are under martial law, and the Legion considers it prudent to take extreme actions, which allows for very little debate on the legitimacy of actions.
However, I feel that one recent act requires some light to be shed upon it, as the dark man behind it might not do so voluntarily. Of course, should he have already filed a report on this incident, and should this report resemble my own, I will eat my words (literally!).

Location: Second Wind Inn
Witness: Drake Sellent
I was lying on a bench, relaxing in the sparse moments of sunlight the region has to offer, when a legionnaire (Cesar del Sol, I learned) and a few compatriots (an unknown Elven man and Drake Sellent) walked up to the fire. It did not take them long to begin questioning me on my tail.
I answered every question honestly, explaining that I am entirely human and that my tail stems from magic, gotten from a potion. I explained that the Hands of Mundus wish to speak with me but have no great concerns, and that the Legion has shown no particular interest, either.
This changed with him, which I deemed natural. Not for a moment did he ask me to come with him for investigation, request me I show identification or proof - we were truly only in the first stages of what I would call 'interested inquiry'. There were no harsh words, insults, blasphemy from either side, when suddenly the man (Cesar del Sol) stormed me. I was unarmed, still lying on my back on the bench when the attack began.
For no reason that I can fathom, the man murdered me in cold blood. There was not a singular warning, no arrest made - I was not even resisting an arrest, as there was no arrest, and even if there had been: I was not defending myself in any way.
The next thing I know I was in Sestra, the Black Hand occupied town, where this man had dragged me off to. He explained nothing to me, only said that I "should be more concerned about my tail" and left.
----------------------
I hope that this man receives the just punishment that he deserves, whichever form it may be.
