Aleister delivers to Jaxis a sealed missive, the wax stamped with the Ever-Vigilant Eye of Helm. It's clearly hand-written by the Sentinel and done in some haste.
Elite Magus,
It has recently come to my attention that one of Sinistrum's pet projects has gotten loose. One 'Maine', an Abyssal-blooded Pactbound of Malcanthet, dark of skin with visible outward manifestations of her foul heritage. She has been under the eye of some in my Church for some time now, but only recently has she shown a willful disregard for the safety of innocents, through the casting of her eldritch magicks - some most assuredly lethal - at the Inn and in the presence of mundane commonfolk. Were this all, perhaps the warnings given to her last night by myself and the Vigilant would satisfy our duty to Helm. But after my departure from the Inn to see to my patrols, the demon's get cast a Changing spell and made her shape that of a denizen of the Lower Planes.
My tolerance for the menagerie of freaks and halfwits that make the Second Wind their frequent habitation has worn thin. You will forward my message on to whatever Archmage within Sinistrum is the overseer of this creature, and to them I say this:
If you do not put your creature on a leash, we will put it down. If it ever changes shape like that in a crowded or public place again, it will be slain and the corpse returned to you for whatever disgusting experiments suit your flights of arcane fancy. You would do well to show more caution in your experiments lest through your carelessness you be judged a danger to the citizens of the State.
Helm Watches, and We Protect
