A vellum scroll arrives at Castle Avanthyr intended for Evelyn Meriadoc which bears the twin sigils of Whurest and the Skullcleavers:
Lady Evelyn Meriadoc,
After our discussion and much thought, I would like to engage House Meriadoc in an expedition Northward along the coast in search of agreeable harbors or inlets which connect to new, more efficient over-land caravan routes to Whurest. Together, with Vergadain's good fortune, I aim to establish alternative paths for Whurest's trade into the Valley.
I will fund this endeavour personally and will look to House Meriadoc to arrange necessary vessel, crew, and supplies for successful exploration over the Northern seas. As for the search inland, I can offer Clan Stonewall as well as Krya Greyhammer.
If you find such collaboration agreeable, please send me a listing of associated expenses for my review.
