  • A formal request to the 5th legion's court

    A request to the 5th legion's court,

I Michael Zollas a Templar of the church of Ilmater within the valley in good standing with the City of Sundren would like to request to accept the captured drow as a charge with the courts. I ask for a impartial review of the request for the law is conflicted here. As a dark elf she may be seen as an enemy, as a paladin of a goodly god, conflict with her would be an evil act.

If she has been released, the officiating seal of accepting her as my charge would still be beneficial to limit future complications. As her charge I will shoulder any consequences if there be a true violation of the laws.

    Michael Zollas,
    Templar of the broken god

    Templar Zollas,

The Drow creature recently delivered into the hands of his imperial majesty, the Emperor Imperatu Verinus's armed forces is clearly a creature of the monsterous peoples and there for considered a defacto enemy of our great nation.

As a monster and enemy of our nation it is entitled to no trial, although in light of its good behavior and its claims to be some kind of holy knight the decision has been made to hold it in prison indefinitely.

While we respect and admire the works done by the churches of the Triad it is not felt that it would be wise nor prudent to risk handing over such a dangerous creature to even a knight such as yourself. Having such a creature walking abroad in our nation is likely to raise unrest and riots amongst the common and sane peoples of our land, despite whatever hollow protestations this creature may mew.

It has been suggested that the only way such a creature might be permitted to leave our prisons alive would be under some restraining geas, forever binding its allegiance to our country and restricting certain actions on pain of immediate death. However such a display of magical prowess would be a terrible waste of the powers of the Hands and would not be permitted under our current circumstance.

It is with regret then that we deny your request to release the drow creature and as cited by law deny your request for its trial.

    Kind regards,

    Ellipsis Drake,
    Lawyer, 3rd rank, 5th Legion.
