  • A Letter for Dain Tornbrook

A simple piece of paper is delivered to the Temple of the Triumvirate, posted for Sir Dain Tornbrook, Judicator:

The paper is covered in doodles, tic-tac-toes, assorted gibberish, and a single word spelled in capital letters: DUNGLEBERRY.

    The letter is signed:

    Johanna Milly, Luckbringer.
"For here, apart, dwells one whose hands have wrought/ Strange eidola that chill the world with fear:
Whose graven runes in tomes of dread have taught/ What things beyond the star gulfs lurk and leer.
Dark Lord of Averoigne- whose windows stare/ On pits of dream no other gaze could bare!"

    -H.P. Lovecraft

Dain receives the letter and opens it in front of its Triadic deliverer. He looks at the letter, at the faithful, at the letter again. He then folds the parchment along its prior lines and hands it back to the carrier.

"A brazier, or waste bin. Doesn't matter."
