Please forgive my presumption, but I desperately need to speak with you. Normally I would never put you in a position that might reflect upon your good name, but the situation is unique. Would it be possible for you to come to my room at the Second Wind? Whether you can or not, I beg you to keep this request, and our meeting, a secret for now. I promise I will explain everything to your satisfaction. I know I am asking a lot of you and I apologize. I will, of course understand if you are unable to do this, but I pray you will indulge me. Even if only this once.

Byrun sits in his study at the Keep, going over information on a few of the new recruits.

"Lord Byrun. A letter has arrived for you."

Byrun nods and takes the letter. "Thank you."

He pauses for several minutes after reading it, taking time to have a drink. He sets the glass down and writes a reply.
