A note for Evelyn Meriadoc

Some time later, Julia passes a note to the keeping of the sentries posted outside Evelyn's private quarters.


Lady Meriadoc,

Conciliator Alice Selena would like to speak with you at your earliest convenience.

A rolled letter makes its way to the Avanthyr Hold, addressed to Lady Evelyn Meriadoc. The bear-pelt covering is worse for wear for the travel; it bears a multitude of weatherworn creases and the tough hide has actually begun to tear at the edges. Unrolled, the paper and its contents are still readable, though the ink is smudged in places from moisture long dry by the time it's read.

Lady Meriadoc,

May this letter find you safe. My apologies for not being able to send you word in person, as of the time I write this letter, I am deep within the Spine. The excursion is temporary, and despite needing to change my original schedule, I will return soon.

I have taken the opportunity while up north to speak with Thane Stonewhisperer. He is interested in reopening discussion of trading with you, should you be available to do so. I am aware that your current duties leave you with little time for other things, but I believe that this is a matter that is better resolved sooner than later.

I should be in the valley by the time you are ready with a response, and I am willing to discuss other matters should you wish to bring them up.
